The room was dated, the staff were rude and the breakfast was just OK. The challenge was there was no cold water in the room, and the staff didn't seem to think this was a problem for the guest. Note 1: if you stay 2 nights, they may close during the day (including shutting off the cold water from 11-4... More

Our room was quite roomy with a view out the window. We had two twin beds which were fairly comfortable. We had a storm the first night and the wind whistling outside sounded like a Canadian blizzard., We had 2 dinners and breakfasts here - all very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our TV wouldn't work and a... More

After riding most of the day on a CIE tour bus, we stopped for the night at this hotel. It was spotless with a good sized room. We were in a wing that at been redecorated or added (not sure which). Patio doors allowed for a view of the water across the street. There is not much else in this... More

This hotel is on the main road to Skye and well placed location wise for heading further north to Skye or the western isles for the ferry. It faces a loch so can be very tranquil (when it's not gale force winds and pouring rain). The hotel itself is well maintained and very clean, beds very comfortable and freebie toiletries.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Balmacara Hotel in Aug. As a walk in around 7pm, we were quoted a room rate of £128 B&B for a twin with Loch view. We had dinner in the hotel that night (£48), which was good as was the breakfast. The view was lovely and good car parking, however, the room left... More

This older property is situated directly on the beach with great views. It has all of the amenities including a bar and excellent restaurant. The rooms are clean and quaint and the service staff are efficient and friendly. It's well managed and located close to important local points of interest. Enjoy.

The best parts of this hotel were 1) the bathroom - big and good lighting, and 2) the breakfasts (served buffet style). My single room was a bit small with a single bed pushed up against the wall so every time I turned over I hit the wall.
