We had a delightful stay at The Schoolhouse. Ample parking, spacious room with private ensuite bathroom. Huge shared kitchen which allowed me to cook-up a mighty Scottish breakfast for our last day. The best feature? Has to be the enormously comfy bed that presented itself to us and after a nippy day's adventures it was most welcome.

The Old Schoolhouse is a really lovely place to stay to explore The Isle of Skye plus only walking distance to the magnificent Eilean Donan Castle- which were both far more impressive than i could imagine. Excellent quality accomodation, with a great communal kitchen; fantastic muffins & fresh coffee (as well as toast jam etc) provided for breakfast. The rooms... More

I've been there in April 2011 with some friends. We were looking for a place to have coffee and luckily found this place. The owner is more than welcoming and friendly. The rooms are recently furnished and well designed with a personnel bathroom. Worth the price!! Each one has a nice view of the scotish wild landscape. The castle of... More

After much searching on the internet I came across The schoolhouse. I wanted somewhere central to the Isle of Skye, Eilean Donan Castle, Wester Ross area and Plockton. We certainly found it here in spades! The building is set right on the street, but across the small village road is a magnificent view and also the garden with some outdoor... More

We have just returned from a lovely three night stay. There were six of us and we hired three bedrooms. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and have the right mix of cosy tradition fused with contemporary style. Our bed was so big and comfortable it was difficult to get out of. There is no lounge/living room but the communal... More

This is a delightful accommodation - spotlessly clean, decorated and maintained with much love and attention. The communal kitchen/dining room has all the necessities, as described - or, rather, you get even more than you expect. Have to praise the bed, too - just the right balance between soft and firm, perfect sleep! In spite of the cold and rainy... More

Good hospitality in a nice accommodation in a style very cozy furbished. You seem alone in the world in front of the landscape. The sympathetic lady let you totally free in the house and discreetly care that you don't miss anything. The family room (quiet small) was very clean and well warmed. The beautiful common kitchen very good fit, brings... More

What great value for money! Ok, you don't get served a cooked Scottish breakfast, but after 3 in a row, I was grateful for the chance to make myself a simple bowl of cereal. The room, whilst a little small, was clean, comfortable, and had a nice couple of schoolhouse quirky touches which gave a lovely feel to the place.... More

What a gem! We stayed only for 1 night, but loved it. Everything was perfect: cosy and warm, spacious bathroom, extraordinary clean, well planned, wonderful and friendly host. A lovely kitchen where you can prepare your breakfast or meal and where you have the chance to chat with other visitors or the landlady. The perfect place to explore Skye and... More

I stayed with three friends, and we had the whole house, although it is set up as two doubles, a twin and a family room and could accommodate separate groups. The large well equipped kitchen offered everything for us to make our own breakfast, with bread, cereals, milk etc, plus local eggs, homemade jam and cakes which appeared from day to... More
