This resort was a overwhelming delight after not really knowing what to expect in this area of Japan that is not very visited by Western tourists. The view was incredible, we had the whole Pacific at our feet. The room was spacious and inviting, perfect for staying in on rainy days. There were so many things to do in the hotel, American resorts pale in comparison with the list of things to do here. The breakfast buffet was delicious, as were all the meals we tried at their restaurant. The staff was super friendly. I wish all hotels were like this!

Our suite, on the top floor, was comfortably furnished and offered wonderful views of the ocean and surrounding countryside.
We stayed under highly unusual circumstances as the Ocean Lounge was closed and buffet breakfast cancelled due to the Corona Virus scare. They coped well though. In the evening we were each given a plate of canapes and there was the usual free flow of beer, spirits and wine. Breakfast was a choice of Japanese or Western set menu.
All members of staff were friendly and professional.
Pre-stay emails were answered promptly and all requests granted.
As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I received an accommodation upgrade, evening canapes and complimentary breakfast.
The Natural Hot Springs bathhouse was open for business as usual and was a holiday highlight.

It was obvious from arrival that this hotel is brilliantly managed.
In a clean and beautifully decorated reception area we were welcomed in a friendly and professional manner.
Our room was spotless, well designed and comfortable with a fantastic view of the ocean and everything you could possibly need, even including bilingual TV!!
I think the view improves the higher the floor, so aim for the highest of the twelve levels you can get!
We were only able to stay one night, so couldn’t experience all of the countless facilities, but we absolutely loved the amazing and Brilliantly designed Bade centre with its beautiful swimming pool complex, impressive fitness centre and hot spring baths!! We had sunny but cool weather but swam outdoors in the heated pool area!! Brilliant!!
There is a lounge area that serves a variety of food with specialities and themes. It’s very nice and has a well stocked bar, but it isn’t cheap!! Friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere, but “expensive”!!
The buffet dinner though is good value with a wide range of tasty international dishes to suit all tastes! Go to the buffet for dinner!!
The breakfast too was international and delicious.
The dining room service was unbelievably friendly, thoughtful and professional!!
Have no worries about choosing this hotel!

Location is on top of a hill so it provides excellent views of Sagami Bay. Very nice place, close to Tokyo about 2 hours only by car (you could also take the trains and it would be convenient; a shuttle bus is available at the Nebukawa station). Parking is also abundant.

Very nice facilities; big, clean indoor heated pool, a dog run, a nice gym, lots of open space, an arcade, a playroom for kids, a bowling alley and also a mini golf course. A chapel can also be found within the premises and I believe weddings are regularly held there.

The only nitpicks are : there is no soap in the family room. I believe in this day and age, there should be soap to prevent COVID (though alcohol is readily available at the entrance etc.). Also we felt that the buffet had very limited selections.

Will definitely be back when we have the chance.

We have been to the Hilton Odawara several times, both pre and post Covid. We love the hotel for all the amenities. We try to take advantage of all the resort has to offer. There really is no need to leave the property.
The staff is always friendly and helpful however the last few visits it seems like there are never enough staff especially at the front desk which ends up in lines to check-in, lines for breakfast, etc making it hard to social distance. There is also no staff to welcome guests at the entrance or help with bags if necessary. Pre-covid this was not the case so it may be the result of cutting back on staff which is understandable but something I do not find at other hotels.
The staff is very good however about doing frequent temperature checks and reminding guests to use hand sanitizer. This made me feel very safe when dining in the hotel.
One other issue I have is the lack of coffee in the rooms. At this level of a hotel to not even offer a package of instant coffee is quite disappointing. There is a hot water and tea pot with instant tea packets but no coffee.
I woke up to realize there was no coffee in the room in the morning. I called down to the front desk to ask and was told that I would have to come down to pick some up (this is where the lack of staff is an issue). There was only one staff at the front desk and the phones were ringing and ringing and not being answered as he was trying to help me get a cup of coffee. He was quite friendly but overwhelmed.
We really do love the Hilton Odawara and plan on visiting again soon. The rooms are spacious and the view is absolutely incredible. The points I mentioned are quite minor but just things that I have noticed on our last few stays. We look forward to going back.

The hotel is near nothing, so be prepared to take the shuttle to Odawara Station (40 minutes) or Nebukawa Station (7 minutes). The Odawara shuttle doesn't operate on the weekends and only runs between 10-5 pm on weekdays. The rooms have furniture that is stained and in need of an upgrade, and there are no USB ports in the rooms. All that being said, the facility is great for kids! The pool area is more like a water park with a huge bubbling pool, several calm circular pools, a bubble chair pool, an indoor/outdoor pool, and a hot tub cave. And if you aren't in the mood for swimming, they have an arcade with claw machines, gatcha machines, karaoke rooms, and a full bowling alley.
The restaurants were very accommodating to our vegetarian needs but had limited choices.
Overall, I would stay here again just for the pool experience - it was that good!

We had a wonderful time at the property. As with many Hilton hotels in Japan slightly dated but well maintained. The natural surroundings are beautiful and very relaxing. All rooms have full views of the ocean. Both heated indoor and outdoor pool areas and natural hot spring onsen (both inside and outside areas) made our 4 day trip fly by. Our 3 year old daughter especially enjoyed the heated pools. They have free swimming arm tubes for babies. Service at the hotel is high standard... Everyone went out of their way to help. Special thanks to Okamoto-san at the gift shop who went above the call of duty... Even pulling out his google translate app to assist! We plan on returning again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hilton Odawara. From check-in to check-out, everything was flawless and all staff were fantastic. It is located in a very quiet Nebukawa area (Nothing around the area that I highly recommend you to stock up on essentials prior to arrival) Nice view on Lake, Mountains and lots of Orange trees.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to enjoy Onsen, but having a small child, kids room in the basement was definitely a plus. Buffet breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices of foods and drinks.

Location was excellent and we were able to take a day trip to Hakone. Shuttle service to/from Odawara station and Nebukawa station were definitely a plus. We enjoyed our stay very much and definitely will be back. Thank you Odawara Hilton.

I saw the reviews, and wanted to go to a resort with hot spa to relax. After riding the beautiful RomanceCar train, there is a free shuttle provided by the Hilton, but you have to watch the schedule. If you miss the bus, the train station has a small shopping mall. Not expensive when compared to Tokyo. Wife brought some clothes & small items. It's also within walking distance to the Odawara castle. (Small entrance fee).
The hotel itself is large & spacious, with all rooms facing the ocean. I think we got an upgrade. Our room had two beds, and a separate Japanese tatami room.
The hot spring spa is like any other Japanese one, but larger in the hotel. Clean.
We ate some expensive hamburger for lunch, but very good with beer.
The breakfast buffet is large, but more geared to Japanese tastes, but I was able to find enough western food to fill up.
We even had a chance to go bowling downstairs. Just me & my wife. Something I haven't done in a while. So it was good nobody was watching. A little expensive for a few games, but hey we are on vacation.
View was great out of my 11th floor room. I will try to post a photo.
Highly recommend this place for solitude & relaxation.

Room and bathroom well equipped with nice view on lake and mountains. The best of this hotel is his Spa experience, with a very beautiful and large Onsen. There are no restaurants nearby, so you have to keep to the expensive buffet, whose quality and quantitity are good but no more. Drinks are not included, prices for alcoholic beverages excessives (one bottle of beer 10 €). Dining room large, loud and not cosy.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Onsen facilities at Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa. Unfortunately we do not have a private Onsen room. However families often enjoy our bade pool area together, equipped with 10 types of indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, and a 25m lap pool, this recreational facility also offers various aqua fitness classes and much more. We look forward to welcoming to Odawara in near future. Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa

We took a train from Kyoto to the hotel. There are two free shuttle bus routes: one from Odawara station and another one from Nebukawa. You can find schedule on hotel's website. Train system in Japan is excellent - clean, on time and comfortable. We did not travel by bus, so I have nothing to say about it. From the hotel we traveled to Narita airport: first to Tokyo station and Narita express. I hope this info helps.
