Like many of the other comments, this place is used by many customers going to a castle wedding. We were greeted warmly and the rooms are very nice, the main hall / bar area are very cozy and make you feel at home. The food was excellent although with me being a relatively light eater, the portion size was generous...

Really good atmosphere and comfortable guest house. Friendly owners and a more than adequate breakfast with farm smells and noise's that add to the charm. No wake up cockerel call, but a couple of three cows having a chat at 06.00ish add to the charm. 2 friendly labs, Cilla, and Bella add again to a relaxing stay. Would stop here...

Greeted as soon as we arrived, lovely room, comfy beds, beautiful barn and farm. Close to the Castle to which we were attending a wedding, lovely view. Breakfast was lovely this morning, a lovely young lady served us. We've had a lovely stay, thank you for making us feel welcome. Also loved the honesty bar

Stayed at Rowton Barns one night from Friday 17th March.Check in is at midday, quick, friendly and efficient. Stayed in room 3, downstairs, nice and roomy, also has a bath. Rowton is a working farm which we felt added to the charm. Rowton Castle a short walk away. Breakfast fresh and varied, good value for money, beautiful part of the...

We stayed here before a wedding at rowton castle, the barns is the perfect accomadation , 14 of us stayed most of the family, apart from the rooms being decorated and furnished to a high standard, it was the personal touch that made the experience so nice, nothing was too much trouble, in the evening we booked to eat there...

We were attending a wedding at Rowton Castle so The Barnes were the obvious choice. We have stayed here before and would recommend to anyone. The honesty box is just amazing in this day and age and the welcome is second to none. All your requirements will be met if at all possible. Keep up the good work Lorraine and...

We had a family wedding at Rowton Castle and stayed here the night before. It is very quiet and very pleasant. It has the feel of a farm and the views are great. In the lounge there was an "honesty bar" which is unmanned. This sort of thing is very refreshing in this day and age. Breakfast was really nice...

On the face of a great place to stay .... The barns have been tastefully converted. The bedrooms are comfortable although the beds could do with being slightly softer - it was like sleeping on a sack of potatoes!!! - maybe the addition of a topper might help? - I also thought that maybe the duvet and pillows were due...

We have just returned from Rowton Barns having stayed overnight for a friend's wedding. We received a warm welcome and I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation, which I thought to be better than the photographs on the website suggested. We decided to drive to the Castle as it was dark and quite windy - I would anticipate that the...

Many thanks for taking the time to send a review and I'm very pleased you enjoyed your stay. We used to put soap in all bathrooms but as we always try to be quite "green" we did not enjoy throwing so much away! We took the decision to have a liquid shampoo/shower gel instead. Perhaps we will keep some bars...

We stayed here after attening a wedding. Although the room was comfortable and clean it was quite compact. The breakfast however was quite a disappointment. I wouldnt choose to have cherry tomatoes on a cooked breakfast i would choose beans black pudding and fried bread though of which there was none and only 1 slice of toast per person which...

I'm very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your breakfast at Rowton Barns. So many people do not like black pudding that we decided not to serve it. On the other hand guests love the sweet cherry tomatoes! Beans are always available as is a plentiful supply of freshly cooked toast.
