A friend and I stayed a single night, the rest of our golf party staying in Formby GC dormy house. Fair to say we got the best end of that deal :-) Shelagh was most welcoming, friendly, chatty, knowledgeable about golf and expected us to have had a beer of two with the boys at the local pub. Breakfast, magnificent,...

I highly recommend this B&B if you need a place to kip in the Formby area. The rooms were spotless, all mod cons were made available and Shelagh couldn't have been more friendly and helpful during the entire stay. Oh, and don't start me on the breakfast - tasty and generous :)

We read the reviews on Trip Advisor before choosing this B&B and have to agree with all of them - an excellent place to stay in all regards. Shelagh gave us such a warm welcome and everything was perfect - we had the double room upstairs and with no-one in the adjoining twin room, we had an enormous bathroom to...

Shelagh makes you feel so welcome, and everything was better than our expectations. Lots of space. Clean and tidy. and a breakfast fit for a king.....and its so quiet and peaceful. It was only for one night but I'm sure we will be back.

My sister and I recently stayed at Brooklands Cottage on a visit up to see our family in Formby. Never mind 'Best Mum of the year' - Shelagh was certainly the best host, and made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. The house is beautiful, and set in a very large garden that is set back from the road,...

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights and I can honestly say it was the best B&B I have ever been to. The hospitality was amazing, Shelagh made us welcome from the very start and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable as was our bathroom. Breakfast was amazing too with a really varied...
