Second year at Park Hotel Mater Dei and still a memorable holiday. Starting from the location, the structure is located in a slightly "secluded" position from the main road of San Giovanni, while remaining a very short distance from the town center which can be easily reached on foot in less than 3 minutes; The tranquility of the entire context benefits enormously. The hotel is equipped with a large private car park, unsupervised, capable of holding guests' cars and well served by snow plows in the winter, as needed. The hospitality of the structure is immediately noticeable from the entrance, furnished in a very refined way and adjacent to a large American bar, truly beautiful to look at. Opposite, there is a large room where meals are served (half board). It is impossible not to be positively impressed by the kindness, extreme availability and professionalism of all the staff starting from the owners (always present), all the dining room staff, the waitresses on the floors and by the very nice entertainer Davide, omnipresent, never intrusive who, in addition to cheer up the after-dinner parties with various initiatives, and also takes care of accompanying the hotel's guests to/from the slopes with the legendary hotel shuttle. The latter constitutes a high added value service provided free of charge by the structure, together with heated and video-monitored ski and boot storage. All the dining room staff are impeccable, exquisite and of the highest level. Breakfast provided as a buffet with a truly wide and varied choice capable of satisfying all tastes. Varied and well-studied dinner menu with buffet starters and a choice of three first courses, three second courses and three desserts, all of excellent quality and well presented. The large, spotless, well-heated and tastefully furnished rooms are equipped with a spacious bathroom with shower and a flat-screen TV (Sky channels included). The structure is completed by a very large tavern where evening entertainment activities take place, an equipped gym, a small games room with table football and an amazing spa equipped with saunas, Turkish bath, calidarium, herbal tea room, hydromassage showers and cold cloud. We were on holiday for a week in this splendid hotel where they made us feel at home...The manager and all the staff were always friendly and helpful, the food was always varied and plentiful, the structure was located in the central area but at the same time away from traffic citizen. Our room with a beautiful balcony overlooking the Catinaccio was always carefully cleaned. Thanks also to the entertainer Davide who enlivened our stay with beautiful evenings of singing, playing and dancing without ever being intrusive. We were guests at the Park Hotel Mater Dei for the first time and we cannot fail to give the location a 5-star review. We felt truly pampered from the first day, in all aspects: dedicated welcome and careful presentation of the services by Davide who, throughout our stay, in addition to keeping us busy in the evenings, was always available for all our guests' requests . Impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, kept in perfect and unmistakable Ladin style. A compliment to the piano collaborators for this. The pride of the structure beyond its services, the kitchen and the dining room staff: chef Pasquale and his staff delighted us every day with the multiple daily choices in the breakfast buffet and dinners; Annamaria, room manager, a very sweet person who manages to make you feel at home from day one and who with her passion and professionalism manages impeccably to satisfy all the requests and particular needs of the guests; the very nice Rocco who always accompanies the service with a smile-inducing word, together with the other two waitresses made the dinner moment truly pleasant. Truly strategic position for those who want to reach every ski resort in Val di Fassa, without losing the breathtaking view that the landscape naturally offers. 5 stars more than deserved. We stayed in this wonderful property from 23 to 30 July 2023 with the family. It is the fourth year that we have spent our summer holidays in Val di Fassa and it never disappoints us. The added value of this last experience was Mater Dei and the wonderful people who worked every day to make our holiday unforgettable. The hotel is located in a privileged position in Pozza di Fassa, surrounded by a large car park, the surrounding greenery and embraced by imposing mountains. In an instant it is possible to reach the cycle/pedestrian path that connects the various villages to get lost in long walks. The structure is extremely welcoming and impeccably clean in all its rooms. The rich and varied breakfast every day was able to satisfy every palate and the dinner, which opened with an amazing buffet of appetizers and vegetables, a spectacle for the eyes, continued at the table with a choice between three first courses and three second courses every evening. Unique dishes made with knowledge and passion by chef Pasquale and his staff, to whom special thanks go for showing such care and attention in managing the dietary needs of our son, who is allergic to nuts. From the first telephone contacts with the structure, we realized the high level of professionalism in taking care of our particular dietary needs. A special hug goes to Annamaria, who managed and looked after each of our dinners, with priceless attention and care. An affectionate applause to Davide, the entertainer, who brightened up our evenings in the hotel with his kindness and friendliness. We feel fully satisfied and satisfied with the holiday spent at Mater Dei and look forward to the imminent construction of the swimming pool. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel (the first time in summer 2024) and increasingly convinced of a great choice. We celebrated New Year’s Eve there and it was great. Everything organized in detail (food, organization, service).Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of sweet and savory, excellent dinner with a large buffet and with the choice of two first courses , two main courses , two sweets and fruit. Very attentive to guests who present problems with food (celiac disease, intolerances, etc.) All the staff very friendly, kind and competent, attentive to any need of the guest. The two receptionists very professional and kind, the two ladies in the room very attentive to the needs of guests, the three young waiters very kind, polite and always with a smile. I went to Mater Dei with family and friends for a long weekend on the slopes. The hotel is in the center but not directly on the main road and therefore convenient for walking in the town and at the same time quiet; It also has a large car park for customers. The shuttle service that takes customers to the Pozza or Pera facilities is excellent. The hotel is charming and furnished in traditional style, has a heated ski room and other services available (gym, spa, tavern with entertainment). Our room was spacious and very nice, with a small balcony overlooking the mountains. Excellent level of cleanliness, both in the room and in the bathroom. The cuisine was very good, both for breakfast, with a large sweet/savory assortment, and for dinner, where for each course there were at least 3 choices. We spent the week around New Year's Eve 2024 and I must say that Mater Dei was a very pleasant surprise. It is the first time we have stayed in this hotel and we were more than satisfied. The professionalism of the staff is simply exceptional, we felt welcomed and pampered like family. The location of the hotel is excellent, it is a little away from the center and therefore from the chaos and traffic, but it is a stone's throw from the main street (2/3 minutes on foot). In addition, the hotel offers a free shuttle service (private, not the ski bus) which takes you directly to the slopes and picks you up (very convenient). There is ample parking available. As for meals, both breakfast and dinner are plentiful, varied and of excellent quality. Breakfast is a buffet and is both sweet and savory, with fruit, yogurt, dessert etc. Dinner starts with a beautiful buffet of appetizers and vegetables, and then continues with the hot dishes at the table. In short, I don't know what to improve... Plus they offer an excellent entertainment service. We returned for the second time five days to this property and it was a pleasant return. The owner welcomed us, despite arriving with a considerable delay, and made us find an excellent dinner. The mountain environment is very welcoming, clean and the staff are friendly and available for every need. The cuisine is well prepared from the start of the day with a rich and plentiful breakfast, an excellent snack when returning from skiing and a dinner with a good buffet and multiple choices. A special thanks to Davide who, very diligently, accompanied us with the shuttle to the lifts.
