This was my first experience of a guided walking holiday and it surpassed my expectations. Everything was very well organised, the accommodation was very comfortable, there was an outside seating area for warmer evenings, and the food was excellent. Sue and Dave made us very welcome and went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable week for everyone. Each...

I spent a week walking with a group of likeminded people in the mountains in the Valencia region of Spain. We stayed in Casa Carrascal, Percent and had the best holiday ever. Fabulous hospitality from Sue and David, wonderful food, very comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean and on top of that, absolutely stunning walking in the mountains. Sue and David know...

Sue and Dave run a remarkably well organised week of walking in the mountains above Alicante. From the efficient airport collection, the varied guided walks, the organisation of a visit to Valencia and the preselection of lunch and supper menus to the transfer back to the airport on the final day - everything runs like clockwork. Nothing is too much...

A lovely English couple who really know what they are doing. They always warn you if a walk has exposed areas and I don't doubt that they would provide alternatives if you are not up for it. Everybody enjoyed the food especially on fish days! We were lucky to have a very nice group of people around us as well....

Excellent guided walking holiday in the quiet hills of Spain near Parcent. Our hosts David and Sue were so welcoming and helpful throughout the holiday. Their local knowledge made each different walk a delight. We climbed ridges, explored the coastline, walked through a bird watching marsh, lunched at ancient forts, saw delightful flowers- wonderful. The food was superb, giving us...

Just returned from a great week's walking based at Casa Carrascal. Weather just right, lots of variety and excellent leadership from David & Sue. Accommodation in very peaceful village. We were surprised to have the apartment at the top of the house which was well appointed, spacious inc a roof terrace with great views. Our fellow walkers were a joy...

We stayed at Casa Carrascal in early March for a 2/3 boot walking holiday. Everything about our week was exceptional; the walking, the food, the nice people we met, and especially the hosts/owners Dave and Sue. From the moment we were picked up at the airport in Alicante to the drop off the following week, everything was taken care of...

We have just returned from a week's walking with David and Sue in Casa Carrascal. What a joy they are- the most considerate, caring and careful hoteliers/walking guides we have ever met. We stayed a week during which we had some lovely weather plus a day of torrential rain. Nothing phased them; they were completely ready to adjust the programme...

I normally don't write long reviews. But this week was exceptional. Here's why: • Walking - beautiful rugged scenery and routes superbly led, and if need be adjusted, by Dave and Sue. We went on a 2 boot walk week. The 3 boot sounded great too; more challenging with higher climbs. • Flora - highlighted expertly along the way with...

Dave and Sue run a superbly organised guided walking holiday where the enjoyment of their guests is their chief consideration. The warm greeting at the airport followed by a delicious and unexpected lunch on the delightful sun terrace at Casa Carrascal ensured a relaxed and happy start to the holiday. And it got better! The walks were interesting and designed...
