Lovely breakfast, really great choice and very freshly cooked. Top marks. Staff attentive and overall the place had a contemporary feel to it. Nice bar area and the restaurant looked busy. Great location, handy for Shrewsbury or Telford areas, nice spot by the river, good car park. Bedroom let it down. We were in stable block rooms on ground-floor which...

We met friends for dinner and enjoyed very nice meals. The reception and service was very good. The dining room is smart and traditional. Excellent choice of beers etc. Ideally situated for Attingham Park/Hall, Shrewsbury/Telford. Well worth a 2nd visit

We stayed in room number 1 which is there £95 suite. Old and musty room. Carpet badly stained. Water pressure in shower no more than a dribble. Shocking for the price. We had dinner in restaurant. My husband sat below air con and there were at least 8 flies flying around it all night and again at breakfast. Flies kept...

The Mytton is located in Atcham on the main road to Shrewsbury by the River Severn bridge and St Eata's church. It's lovely inside and feels like it really hasn't been altered much over the years. The rooms are well proportioned, however, we were in Room 2 and the slope in the floor is a little disorientating. The bed was...

My husband and I visited The Mytton and Mermaid last night for a meal and unfortunately it wasn't the evening we had hoped for. The staff (minus one) seemed under trained and less than enthusiastic, my husband went up to the bar to order food but got sent away and told someone will come to the table. 20 minutes later...

I have visited the Mytton & Mermaid many times for food and drinks and have never been disappointed. I visited late in March to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen for a while. We took our children (3&7) and ate in the restaurant as there were no spare tables in the bar area, although this would have been...

Had a very pleasant stay while visiting Attingham Park. They very kindly put me in a ground floor room in the courtyard. The first room was a little dark and as light is important to me I was moved to a very nice light room with French windows. I was a little cold the first night so an extra blanket...

Very busy lack of attention. My pepper and salt squid was described as baby well it certainly was at about 1 1/2 inches long on a bed of green leaves two bites of the squid and finished, My mussels arrived no chips and had to ask. No finger bowl had to ask. After 20 minutes of our mains being cleared...
