A quarry shack, the rooms extremely dirty, no internet, safe is just dummy. Mold in the bathroom, cockroaches in the room, uncleaned. Staff incapable. No restoration. Please keep your hands off it, you can only be dissatisfied.

I booked a room with a full bed at first but selected the wrong amount of persons that should be in the room. I then called the hotel to request a change in occupancy and got a very rude response from the young lady at front desk, she did not even give me her name. Nevertheless, I cancelled that room and booked a larger room with a king size bed. When I arrived to Trinidad, I contacted the hotel to notify them of my late arrival and the gentle man that answered me just said “hello” as if he was answering his personal phone. He then told me “ alright cool” and hung up on me. I arrived at the hotel to then be told that you all do not accept card. Which establishment only deals with cash especially in a season where persons can get robbed easily? I was refused a room because I only had my card and not sufficient cash to pay for the entire stay up front. The gentleman ( who never introduced himself) then took all the cash I had after I begged him and made a promise to go get the rest that same night. Why isn’t this posted anywhere? Why would I travel with near $1000 cash to an area that is lonely? I got up to the room (room 12) and to my surprise the door was not opening with the key I was given. I even asked someone else to try and it still did not open. I had to go back downstairs to reception where the gentleman came and opened it for me. The room was not in a good state and there was definitely some false advertising taking place. The television did not work, there was some sort of damage to the front door as well as the bathroom door. There was hair in the bathroom and on the bed. Behind the fridge and the table was not cleaned properly. There seem to be some sort of toilet paper or paper stuck in a whole by the AC and not to mention the scent of smoke in the room. I complained to the front desk but they were of no help. My boyfriend then arrived at the hotel (he did not check in with me) and was denied access because the receptionist could not find his name ( the dumbest thing I’ve heard so far). I left to go get the rest of my payment and arrived back to the hotel where I saw a bride and a groom arguing with the receptionist. The receptionist then asked me for my room key and I gave it to her. She left and went upstairs while the bride and groom continued to argue. After about 10 minutes she came back with the key and I went to my room. About 10 minutes after that an Indian guy came to my room to ask me for my key to open a room for some guest ( this is the point where I realized I wasted money coming to this place) nevertheless I gave him it. I had to back downstairs to get it from him. The night blew over and I went downstairs requesting the breakfast service that was offered for $68 TTD on Booking.com. Well if I was hungry and dying I had to die because breakfast was not offered (false advertising again). I left for the entire day and did not return til night. The next morning (today) I checked out early and left. The only reason I stayed at the hotel is because I did not have anywhere else to go at the moment and all other places were completely booked. This place is horrible and needs new management and staff training as well as some repairs. The pictures are misleading and the policies are not clear. I’ve worked in hotels for some years and I know this isn’t even close to 2 stars and DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY I SPENT. I saw this place as an opportunity to do my internship to complete my degree but after my stay here I would not be recommending here to anyone. With this being said, I hope there is some way I get compensated for all my misfortune here. This place is more than ridiculous and if I had the opportunity to leave the first night I would of with no hesitation.

The advert for this place stated shuttle service and breakfast available. Neither were available and although information was given after booking about the lack of shuttle service the lack of breakfast availability was only known after arrival. The room had no window, very unpleasant, the shower did not work and the air conditioning was not adjustable so was very cold.

With an evening return to Trinidad from Tobago, and an early departure from Trinidad the next day, the owner of our booked accommodation in Port of Spain suggested changing our accommodation to something closer to the airport. Before arriving in the country, I hadn’t realised the extent of the evening and early morning traffic. I was happy to save the taxi fare and potentially couple of hours of driving. The Airport Suites Hotel was within my budget, had airport shuttles and was close enough to the airport. We arrived at the airport, called the shuttle and was picked up in a few minutes. We checked in and showered. We decided to go for a walk to get dinner. As with a lot of Trinidad and Tobago, the hours on Google Maps for a lot of restaurants were incorrect and it was a bit of a trek to find somewhere open. We had been told that the area wasn’t particularly safe (as with the advice given to us about a lot of Port of Spain) but we didn’t notice anything of concern, even as we walked back late at night. People in the street even smiled and waved. There was streetfood available next to the service station on the main road. We ended up spending longer than we wanted to getting dinner, so we didn’t end up swimming in the pool. We chatted briefly to the security guard at the gate, and he was very friendly. With the open stormwater drains and vacant lots nearby, I expected more mosquitoes, but we had no issues in and around the hotel. The room was modest and comfortable. The bathroom water lines had air in them (spluttering) but otherwise we were grateful to have a working toilet and shower (Tobago, especially, often had issues). Our shuttle to the airport the next day was on time and quick. If you are looking for a simple hotel near the airport for the first or last day of your trip, you can easily relax here. I read the reviews before staying here, and I had none of the bad experiences.

I do not normally leave reviews but it was such a HORRIBLE EXPRIENCE. I and my one year old went to Trinidad for 10 days we first stay at the Hilton and wanted to be closer to the airport the last 2 days. I looked online and this hotel seem to look great......... Mistake not reading reviews. first I get there at 12.20PM on Friday - the young lady at the front desk was alone and many calls coming in I am standing there with my baby for 20 mins. second , my husband came from Afghanistan to surprise us on this trip .. at the Hilton they just ask for his name to be in the hotel . this place ask for $20 a day addition ( keep in mind I paid almost $400 online but in person you can book the same EXACT ROOM doe $125 a night 3. I asked to see a manager ( never came ) 2;20 PM still standing there because I needed a bigger room and they said they could not do it I had to go through Hotel.com. 4. when hotel.com contacted the manager they basically said that they can not doing anything for me and they already have my money. (no refunds ) when I eventually got to the room I swear I was in a motel. I could not believe the room . I can go on and on but there is not enough characters left for me to type it all . I ended up going to an other hotel and paying an additional $400 to be safe and in a clean environment. their management is ridiculous and they need to be better train In customer service. also they might want to change it to Airport Suites Motel truly disgusting.

Thank you for your feedback our, your reservation via Expedia was for a single occupancy room. As a result the extra person fee was applicable. We apologize if this was not explained properly to you by our front desk member.
