Staid 3 nights and I really wish we could have made it longer. The rooms are perhaps not so special, the pool is fine. The location is not remarkable. But the place is genuine and we had a tremendous time. The staff is professional, attentive and caring. Dinner in the restaurant, wine and dessert were wonderful. Yes the breakfast is...

We stayed in the Villa delle Rose after having to cancel our stay in a different hotel in Lucca for a reason I wll not get into on this review. We were attending the Elton John concert, so all the hotels in and around Lucca were full for the night of the concert. This hotel had one room avaiable but...

The rooms are clean and spacy. Our bathroom could have used a bit more ventilation and a more powerfull airconditioning would have been nice. However, the pool and breakfast were good. All in all, a decent hotel to stay a few days.

We stayed here via a package deal a good price I must say. When we saw the prices of the hotel.......we said glad we have this deal because it's not worth to pay much per night. My rate for this hotel is purely service? When we arrived we didn't feel welcomed it was more ohhh pffff another guest! Our star...

One of the best hotels I have used. Beautiful building in private grounds. Good sized outdoor pool and a brilliant restaurant. Staff were outstanding in their desire to help. Fantastic value for money.

The hotel was part of a larger travel trip (09May 2014 to 29 MAY 2014) which included 8 days in Tuscany and 10 days in France with a 7 day river cruise down the Seine from Paris to Normandy. The hotel is a little difficult to find when using the GPS as we ended up in a couple of back...

The grounds of this hotel are extremely beautiful. It is not modern but I think that modernizing it will take away from it's charm. The breakfast is great and the dinner I was served was amazing. The only downfall was not having the AC working. It was pretty hot in the room. You have the option of opening up the...

This hotel is being updated but it still has overtones of the Grand Budapest Hotel. Rooms in the main wing are adequate but certainly approach Italian rustic in their appointments. Tis is a fun hotel if expectations are not in place for five star lodgings. Any room with a balcony provides excellent indoor-outdoor ambience for the Tuscan villa experience. A...

The Villa delle Rose is a charming Tuscan villa with over 100 rooms. It oozes an old world charm. The furnishings are simple and dated but extremely comfortable and the staff are warm and friendly. The daily breakfasts were delightful. We ate dinner in one night and enjoyed the food very much. We thought the prices were reasonable. The train...

We stay 6 days and we like the area a lot. We rented a car so we move around major cities like Florence, Luca, Pisa, Siena , in 1,1/2 hours, so not bad location, even that I found extremely stressful to drive in Italy and I do not recommend it unless you know basic Italian and traffic regulations. The location...
