This hotel is not the Ritz the facilities are generally quite basic BUT it wins hands down for charm and style. This place is a living museum. The rooms/suites are spacious and comfortable- our room had a huge balcony with seating and a swing, an annex with a day bed and spacious bathroom. It took us a while to discover...

This property was a chance finding on TripAdvisor but it turned out to be perfect for our road trip to Ranakpur and kumbhalgarh fort. The heritage property is well managed and best suited for those looking for a peaceful getaway and not the run of the mill hotels. Those expecting 24 hour room service and star facilities please avoid this....

Not so 'Royal', but yeah as TripAdvisor says its #1 of 1 Hotel(s) in Ghanerao. :D We stayed there for 2 nights and it was not a pleasant stay at all. Waited for about an hour, as there was no one at the reception! I had expected a heritage styled hotel, but this turned out to be a real heritage...

I was most fortunate to stay one night at the Ghanerao Royal Castle on my riding tour in Rajasthan. My Heritage Suite was the former quarters of the Maharani. The rooms were elegant and the decor included some of the original furnishings of the royal family and was a history and cultural lesson unto itself. After several nights in high-rise...

Ghanerao is about 12 km from Ranakpur. The Royal Castle is in the centre of the village and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Mementos of times gone by are scattered around the corridors and rooms. My room was beautifully appointed, the staff were excellent and the food good. A rooftop terrace gives you great views for miles around.

Very beautiful castle. Fantastic food, even our 10 and 13 year old children liked it. They said it was the best food they had eaten in Rajasthan. Had personal service as no one else was staying, and had best pick of the rooms. Disappointed we could not pay for the rooms on card as we were short on cash. Loud...

It Is the appropriate place to take a break of those hurried tours around the "Golden Triangle" and Rajasthan. It is quiet and beautiful old castle without pretentions, with peacocks flying free in the surroundings and a careful attention at all times. A delicious dinner at an incredible price. The rooms are very clean and the staff extremely attentive, eager...

Our first feeling: overwhelmed by the beauty and the size of this hotel which is literally a palace. we felt so lucky to have found this place, isolated from the main touristic circuits. This old palace, built 400 years ago, is really a hidden gem. We really enjoyed the architecture of the place, and the way the hosts kept "the...

Ghanerao royal castle the name boasts it's just an olden times mansion with few antique possessions. The stairs are too big for elderly people to climb up. The linen used is clean but the rooms and bathroom need a lot of renovation to be done. Not at all worth the price. We reached there around midnight had booked the room...
