hello, I did the 3 days trekking from Kalaw to Inle lake. it's possible to do it in 2 days if you want, however they will take you by car up to a certain point and walk the rest of it. I met a girl that walked to whole distance in 2 days but it's very hard, due to the hot weather and I guess you will have to pay probably a bit more.

Hello! We did the trek in mid-October and had no rain at all. Some spots were muddy but very manageable. I am not sure how much the transportation would be, but by bus it should be around 2000-3000 if I compare to what we paid to go from Inle to Heho. There is an entrance fee at the Lake of 12,500 kyats per person, and most agencies do not include this in their rates. The trek was pleasant, we had very good food and a good guide. Have fun!

I had, on the other hand, really good time in this GH. I didn't book in advance and had no problem getting a room even though arriving in the middle of the night. And Robin was a terrific guide to Inle. Have you tried booking or hostelworld?
