Never been before. Cracking village with pub in middle. Felt good as soon as arrived. Nice decor, good layout, tables well spaced apart. Roaring fires! 2 or 3 course Sunday lunch good value. Beef advertised as pink but came well done. Was taken away and replaced without any issues. One of the best pubs for Sunday lunch we have been...

Centred in a lovely village setting, with walks on the doorstep, this pub has everything going for it. Very welcoming, local feel with cosy bar area with real log burner, into a dining room with a traditional but snug intimate feel and real napkins on the table . Very friendly staff, good prices on the menu and great food delivered...

My impressions when first seeing the place was wow. It looked a very unique village, right out of a hammer HH, a village time forgot. The room was first class. En-suite bathroom, very very clean and picturesque and comfy. Was very roomy. The pub itself whilst small was really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and arrived very fast...

Just left after an exceptional roast - we're massive foodies and agreed it was the best pub roast we've had. Warm service, lovely ale and really helpful with our 7 month old. Wish we lived nearer! Skip Sharpham (where they were very unhelpful and indifferent) and come here.

This is the second time that we have stayed here and we still had that wonderful feeling of peace and calm as we drove into this idyllic, sleepy village. On this occasion we were booked into room 3 which, being at the back of the hotel, didn't have the same wow factor as room 1 with its views of the...

We have spent the week in the local area and tried a few local pubs. We thoroughly enjoyed our two evening meals here, the steaks were as good as they get. Our children enjoyed their meals too. Dogs are very welcome, the atmosphere was great and staff very pleasant. The village looks lovely too.

From the minute you set foot in the door the owners and staff are so welcoming. Its the sort of service you might have expected in days gone by , rather than the often service you get under sufference in many places these days.My wife & I had walked from Totnes and wanted a drink with just a snack. The lunch...

Visited this Pub twice whilst staying nearby. Was recommended by the B/B we were staying in. Used the Sat Nav to find it first time, the second time just remembered the route. Had told to book, which we did. First visit was on a Tuesday, surprised to see how busy it was. Welcomed by the Landlord and was shown to...

We booked this bed and breakfast / pub at the very last minute and we were really surprised at how spacious and comfortable the room was. My only criticism would be that the cups in the room should be a little bit bigger! The breakfast was fantastic with very attentive staff and quick service. Would love to stay again!
