Clean and conveniently located, really nice part of the beach. Well equipped kitchen. Would stay there again. Pool was clean, I wish there were more chairs on the pool deck. Monday night Elvis show was a highlight.

Highly recommended. Clean, affordable, great location right by the ocean and beach chairs at the restaurant. Staff are amazing. Everyone is so friendly! They really do go the extra mile! We had an issue with our toilet and they called in a plumber to fix it! We had an issue getting back to PV with one of the big bus companies and last minute we had to hire a driver and the front desk called someone early in the morning to open the safe to get our passport. The beds took a little getting used to as they are a bit firm, but the rooms do come with A/C and a fan! They even provide a coffee maker, blender and iron if you need one! Especially handy is the blender to make those morning smoothies with the amazing delicious and fresh local fruit. If I come back to Melaque I would definitely stay there again! We were lucky enough to stay in the large Bungalow #34 with the ocean view! A real treat every day to see the sunrise and sunset and hear the ocean waves and see the life with all the fishing vessels.

We stayed at this hotel for one week. The details state it is oceanfront, but this is not quite accurate. There was a walkway and a restaurant between the hotel and the beach so there was no umbrellas / chairs for the guests to use which was a little inconvenient. Also while sitting on their back patio the ocean view was obstructed by the aforementioned restaurant. The pool was completely surrounded by walls and rooms so it was a little claustrophobic for my tastes. On to the good... The room with a kitchenette was very large. It was very clean and the a/c worked well. Shower had very good pressure and hot water was never a problem. The location of the hotel was very close to the bus station and Melaque town centre so it was very easy to get around. Also the staff was very friendly. Not a word of English was spoken but with the help of google translate they were always able to help us out. Would I stay here again? Probably not due to the beach access, but if that is not important to you it is a nice little hotel.

Las Hamacas is a friendly, family run very clean hotel. We especially liked having the kitchen and it was pretty well outfitted. The small frig was adequate but didn’t really make ice. The mattresses were comfortable and we had a very nice shower. The staff were absolutely wonderful when we had a family emergency. Jessica and her husband could not have been more helpful. It would be nice to have WiFi in the room but having it at the pool worked out ok. The pool is clean and of a good size. I highly recommend Las Hamacas.
