Stayed 1 night in July in a room -- the landscape is amazing, the farm is really secluded, special views all around, saw wild zebras on the way out and saw wild antelope and deer on way in. Dinner and breakfast was very tasty would definitely stay here again. The room was comfortable and well furnished, definitely a homey, rustic...

We stayed two nights at Rooiklip in April 2016 and we loved the unique campsite situated in a natural cave. We stayed in our Bushcamper on campsite 3. You obviously need a 4x4 to get up there but it is worth every effort. The view into the amazing landscape is great. We also had Dinner and breakfast at the lodge...

After 8 years we visited Roiiklip again and it is still the fantastic and unique place we remembered. This time we came with our two children (5 and 7 years) and they loved it and spent much time in the cool pool playing and swimming. It was very hot just before Christmas…. so we spent much time at the pool...

Our stayment at this guestfarm was so special. We didn't make a reservation but we were lucky there was place at one of the 3 possible places at the campsite. The view was marvelous and the facilities were more than special! Taking a shower with a view on the mountain in the open air was a great experience. And cooking...

We drove 18km over a horrendous road to Rooiklip but didn't stay & camp there. We spent some time looking for womeone to ask about camping, but all we could see were "Private no entry" signs. When we eventually met the person responsible, we were informed that camping was N$160 pp. An excessive price for a campsite

Driving to the farm through the rugged mountain landscape in itself is awesome. Lovely owners, rustic setting, and an amazing campsite under a hanging cliff. The sunset and sunrise is breathtaking, with a view difficult to describe or even photograph. Hot water, loo with a view, and amazing starry skies at night. It was our last night of our camping...

The campsites at Rooiklip, tucked into natural overhangs in the Khomas schist, are among my favorite in the world. The ablutions made out of local rock and built artfully into the cliff. A hot shower in the open air from the wood-fired donkey as the sun is going down - one of the great experiences of Namibia! The camping is...

Rooiklip is less than three hours drive from Windhoek via the beautiful C26 through the Gamsberg Pass. There is a good sign so you will not miss it. We were warmly welcomed by Hannelore who told us about the place and showed us how to find the camping spots. We did our own cooking but you could also use the...

The road to the Rooiklip guest farm makes you wander where you will end. Along the scenic but bumpy drive over several kilometers into this barren landscape we spotted some wildlife. Upon our arrival (not prebooked) Hannelore welcomed us in a very friendly way and showed us the way to the campground. Our question if we could still join for...

“We were here for the camping. There are only three spots and we had the "Site 1" which is the largest since we were two cars and with two tents. All three spots seems equally nice and it lokks like more spots are coming.”
