We have just returned from a fantastic family holiday here at Gwel an Mor. We stayed in one of the Residence luxurious lodges, number 105, myself, husband and our 3 boys 7, 4 and 7 months old. The lodges are very modern with all the mod cons, and extremely clean. Lovely comfy beds, great en-suite and the boys loved the...

Amanda, Thank you for a wonderful write-up. Five star rating is a subjective affair, certainly in self catering terms, of course we are judged annually by "Visit England" as five stars and in 10 years we have never got less than 94% in this judgment (and this is for our Scandinavian lodges as well). Personally if there were a 6...

We visited Gwel an Mor for a wedding and stayed for a long weekend - Fri/Sat/Sun. Upon arrival we checked in and were surprised how many lodges there are. It's a lovely site and laid out really well for privacy between the lodges. We stayed in "Sennen" which overlooked the animal enclosure and had a sea view. The lodges are...

Annette, Its always lovely to read when our guests have enjoyed themselves and had such a lovely time, and especially as part of a "Gwel an Mor" wedding! The yurt is stunning for weddings as is the events barn and when your staying in one of our cosy classic lodges, wood burner blazing away and looking out over the farm...

A five star resort on the outskirts of Portreath. Well equipped luxury lodge on a small development with spa ,pool restaurant and small petting farm and children's activity area. The welcome was warm and professional and the lodge well equipped with lovely sea views. The layout is upside down with the open plan living area on the first floor which...

The cabins are well equipped, and are positioned to give views across to the north coast above Portreath from the living room. Good for families, but also for a quiet get away for couples - especially in the wild weather winter months. The onsite restaurant is good - great tapas!

Tony, Thanks for the five stars and yes our tapas in the restaurant is as good as it gets, but then it should be our Chef is Spanish! I love the wild winter months as well, theres nothing better than watching the waves crash over the harbour walls, and then cosying up in your lodge with the wood burner and...

This is our ninth trip to Gwel an Mor and probably the best so far. As always the lodges are spotlessly clean and the restaurant was fantastic as usual (5 visits on this stay). We stayed in lodge 52 at the end of October. The bedrooms are downstairs with the open plan living area upstairs so you can see the sea (in the distance) from your balcony.
