We haven't been to the three tuns for a while, having read the mixed reviews I was sceptical but it didn't disspoint, The food was delicious, the lamb tagine is highly recommended. The service was good, the new manager is a lovely young lady, knowledgeable about the food and was happy to recommend a nice wine too. The only down...

Lovely pub next door to a beautiful natural spring. Food was fantastic and children were made to feel very welcome. Menu was clear and the service was quick. It's hard to find really good food pubs but this one is a keeper. Will definitely be coming back.

We stayed here for one night while attending a local wedding. After checking in we noticed the toilet seat was falling off & the shower door fell off when I tried to open it. Told a member of staff before we went out. On our return it hadn't been touched which meant morning showers were a bit tricky! Shower itself...

Management response:

Hi there, I am very sorry that you left us not being completely happy. We take every piece of feedback seriously and once you made me aware of the situation in your room, I arranged to have the problems rectified. I suspect that upon taking over The Three Tuns, the repairs that we had been told that were carried out,...

Lovely pub (in the Gastropub category) with spacious dining room. There's a smaller bar if you just want a drink. Delicious food and friendly service. Interesting and different dishes. Will definitely return.

A birthday lunch for six people provided excellent food but slow service spoilt it a bit although the waiter did apologise to me a couple of times for the delays. There was only one waiter although and the kitchen was also serving food to the adjacent bar. Extra staff in the kitchen and dining areas might have improved matters. As...

I've stayed in a number of pub hotels before, and they're usually a bit too quaint for a business trip. The Three Tuns has been renovated upstairs to create large ensuite rooms with a comfy mattress, nice décor, and a large bathroom with a real shower. The wifi actually works well, there's a nice garden with tables, and the restaurant...

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends, including children. We were seated outside on a lovely warm summers evening. The food was very good with a twist on the norm. I had lamb curry, served with potato dauphinois, the flavours were subtle and unusual, but lovely. The presentation of all of the dishes was superb. Everyone in the...

My partner booked this b&b in advance and made sure they were happy we would be arriving late after attending a concert - all went well and we arrived on schedule, were greeted in a friendly manner and had a good night in a very nice room, although the only problem was that a hot water pipe runs through the...

I love this place. It's a stunning Gastro in beautiful Ashwell. Super tasteful decor and amazing staff. The food is spot on. Really high quality Gastro grub. I was here for business but this would be a gorgeous weekend escape for romantic couples with easy access to Cambridge.

Very comfortable room. Warm, cosy, inviting. Two minor quibbles. No milk for morning tea, apparently should have requested it at the bar the night before, and no mirror near a plug for hairdryer. Having said that everything else was lovely. Best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. Superb. Solve the two niggles and would have given 5 stars.
