We chose this motel for its off street parking and location. We found the staff helpful and happy to extend our stay for an extra night on checking in. Room was clean bed comfortable, good amenities, and plenty of hanging space for clothing.
Needed a stay for a Saturday night around here - few choices but this one worked fine. Cheap, clean, good room (inverter a/c and heating) and shower with off-street parking and friendly staff. Surpringly quiet. Free wifi and the tv had subtitles.
I booked this place not knowing anything about it. It was within walking distance to Caulfield race course for GAMSAT and I booked quite last minute. The other reviews for this place come from a place of truth, but it depends on your expectations for what you pay as to how you enjoy the stay I suppose. It’s very fairly priced and they have plenty of rooms. I arrived several hours before my formal check in and the friendly staff were very welcoming and allowed me to access the room early. They also assisted with booking me a cab into Melb city (to catch skybus) for my return flight two days later. I stayed in room 20. The room was a single with a single bed, tv, bar fridge, side table and desk. It had a kettle and coffee/tea supplied. There was a small oil heater and a ceiling fan. A window which could be opened over looking a courtyard. The room was clean and tidy. Outdated and not fancy, but definitely suitable for a stay for a few nights. The toilets and showers were shared facilities. They were clean and I never had to wait to use one. I didn’t feel like I was sharing with an entire motel. Within walking distance was Monash uni, Caulfield race course, Coles, 7/11, and plenty of smaller food places. Uber eats also delivered to the motel. The overall feel of the motel is outdated, but it was clean and simple. If travelling on a budget and are happy to go without the fancy appearances, you’ll appreciate this motel. I don’t know about the bigger rooms for families though. I travelled alone. …
We had a one night stay here recently, our daughter was in a nearby hospital and we wanted somewhere close so we didn't have to commute to and from our rural home. It was Grand Prix weekend and there was very little accommodation available in town. The room was very small but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The room was also very clean and had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, quiet air conditioning and a decent bathroom. Free Wifi and easy parking were a bonus.
I stayed here for one night on arrival in Melbourne, it was booked at very short notice as our other accommodation was a complete disaster and we refused to stay there. We booked Evancourt motel through a third party website, and when we arrived to check in one hour later we were told the double rooms were filled and so were double booked however, they gave us a free upgrade to a family room. This was large and spacious, clean, had air-con, tea and coffee making facilities, the motel was quiet allowing us a very good nights sleep on a very comfortable bed The lady who checked us in was very helpful and friendly as was the manager who was there in the morning, very cheerful and friendly man. All in all it was a pretty good stay for the night and would be happy to stay again. Yes, it's not the Hilton in terms of decor but it doesn't cost anywhere near the Hilton. Doesn't deserve the poor reviews…
