Hosts slyvie and darren lovely people, bending over backwards to help you. Very friendly and willing to accommodate guest requests. Location walking distance to town, plenty to do in the region. My room had a microwave and refrigerator , plates and cutlery.

The owners were absolutely charming and friendly on the phone, making reservations for our party of four for the Farewell Spit EcoTour during our stay. The 2 cottages were old-fashioned charming, and had comfortable beds and full kitchens. Very nice.

Charming! We were greeted by a wonderful little Viking who welcomed us in with a bottle of fresh milk. His parents Darren and Sylvie, a very charming couple were both welcoming and accomodating. We chatted with Darren before he showed us around the cottage we stayed in. We found the cottage clean and tidy. The beds were super comfortable. We...

Hi Nell, Thankyou for what is a lovely review and it really warms our heart reading it. Our little viking, Leroy loves delivering the milk and is getting really good at it. (he's also developing his skills at dusting to a pretty descent level) It was a real pleasure having you stay with us and thankyou for the high recommendation....

We stayed at the Station House Motel for five days and what can we say except -- it was perfect! The location is great - walking distance to the Collingwood beach and a few small shops in Collingwood, easy driving distance to Farewell Spit, Wharakiki Beach (aka, the most beautiful beach in the world), Heaphy Track, Takaka, and Abel Tasman....

We stayed one night here while exploring the area and we were very impressed with the large studio. It was in fact a large bedroom with a separate kitchen/dining area and bathroom. Also has a little area with extra single bed in the closed in veranda. A fabulous of this beautiful villa. The room was clean, tidy and had all...

If I read a review like that, it would help me choose to stay at that motel. Thankyou so much for the lovely kind words. We are happy you liked our little villa. When you say "main thoroughfare" you have to remember we are on the end of the road, miles from anyway. Maybe that's why a guest a while...

Stayed in one of the studio units as the prize for winning a school silent auction kindly sponsored by the Motel. Room was very comfortable and clean, and the place had great facilities for only 4 units. Shower pressure was insane!

We stayed at the wonderful Station House motel for a week in August and loved it so much we returned for more in September. Darren and Sylvie are friendly and knowledgable hosts who go that extra mile for their guests (they took us on more than one gorgeous hike!)
