We love this hotel. If you want resort amenities, this isn't the place for you. If you want gorgeous, natural surroundings, small, clean cozy rooms and a cool, friendly, knowledgable proprietor, you'll love it. You could sit there all day amongst the palm and macadamia trees and be happy as a clam.

This is a wonderful, peaceful property! Very reasonably priced; easy to locate; and very quiet. Property is older Hawaiian style property, which has been completely renovated in the old Hawaiian style, with porches, big windows, lace curtains and quilts, cable television and DVD player. There are plenty of fresh oranges in the front; good parking; line-dried linens and plenty of...

What a little gem! We arrived after an exhausting bike riding day from Honoka'a to Kapa'au and were immediately greeted warmly by owners. Quaint rooms and vibe. Double bed options avaliable as well as several single beds in one room for a more hostel like setting. Has a common sitting room and available clothes lines for drying. Very clean rooms....

I stayed one night here - would happily have stayed longer if I had have had more time. This is a very reasonably priced accommodation place. I was happy with my room - it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Management was friendly and easy to deal with. I loved that it was a smaller (almost B&B) enterprise which suited...

Great reasonably priced lodging. We stayed in the cottage, my wife and I in the room with the double bed and our adult children in the room with twin beds. A common bath in between. We found this place in 2004 and have been back twice. Beautiful grounds and beautiful inn keeper. She'll do anything for you to make you...

decent lodging in Kapaau/ Havi area, not many extras (pool, restaurant) but you're not paying for them either. Owners are friendly and there is coffee for the morning. Look carefully or y9ou might miss it. Check out some of the old sugar cane plantations.

This is an charming old relic in the heart of Norht Kohala. The hotel has been renovated from when it played host to gentlemen working on the sugar plantations. Its extremely clean, well kept, no frills accomidations. Who needs frills when you are in Hawaii? The hosts are gracious & accomodating with out being intrusive- they live on property &...

If you've come to Hawaii to experience the Aloha Spirit and friendliness Hawaii is famous for, you won't find any Aloha here. We were barely greeted, the woman who runs the place took our money, didn't offer a receipt and was generally a very unfriendly (and maybe unhappy) person. It's cheap and that's all it is. There are absolutely no...

We arrived early evening, without a reservation, and truly expected there to be no vacancies. Andie met us at the gate with a very excited and 'chatty' Jack Russell. Two rooms were available, and Andie happily showed them both so we could choose; all the while telling us the history of the place and pointing out original features. We chose...

Had the great pleasure of staying here...Andie and Grant were the ever so gracious hosts..The ambience is pure Hawaiiana at its best...if you are looking for frills and the trappings of the city, go someplace else...but if you want 'hang loose' charm and a great place to relax...you have arrived.
