we had the bakestall room -nice size, nice view and lovely decor. the evening food was excellent and the service was too, a little disappointed in the breakfast, make your own toast and the range of cereal was limited to cornflakes or muesli.

My wife and I had a two night stay to celebrate her birthday. We were greeted with a warm welcome from all the staff we encountered on our arrival. We were shown to room 9, which I can highly recommend, with great views towards the lake from the rear windows, and the fell from the side window. We ate at the...

We have now stayed a few times. The rooms are comfortable, the food excellent as are the staff. A most pleasurable experience. If you want peace and relaxation with a good breakfast and wonderful meal at end of day this is the place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great location for northern lakes.

We felt like valued guests and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ravenstone Lodge. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and any request we made was cheerfully dealt with. The place was very clean and despite being very busy all the staff were cheerful, efficient and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious. In the evening ate in The Bistro and The restaurant...

Just got back from two nights at the Ravenstone Lodge. We arrived in pouring rain, and it was very much a relief to enter the hotel with it's welcoming smiles. All in all, the hotel is a very nice experience. Tastefully decorated, the staff are lovely (shout out to lady called Sue who seemed to have a smile on her...

Decided to go away for a couple of nights at very last minute (midweek in November) and found this by chance and was not disappointed. Great location with fantastic views over Bassenthwaite Lake and only a few minutes drive into Keswick. Was a great place to base ourselves for a bit of walking. The rooms were clean, warm and nicely...

Since our favourite hotel near Windermere closed some years back, we have been looking for a replacement. On Wednesday we discovered the Ravensthorpe Lodge Hotel, and our search is now over. Arriving on site we found a good car park and were greated with great warmth by a member of staff. The entrance is a lovely conservatory with a solid...
