Stayed for a short 3 day walking break recently. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts excellent in both choice and delivery. We also ate in the bistro each night and enjoyed delicious food. The only down side to this property for a couple taking a walking break in the Lake District is the lack of any drying...

Really tasty, well crafted and quality food on offer, which really sets this place apart. Rooms of equally high standard, with homemade cookies and fresh milk available. Has more of a Guest House feel rather than hotel (which is not a negative in my opinion), which means that there is limited communal space, like a lounge, for relaxing in. The...

Stayed here for two nights recently along with my wife. Stayed in the room by the roadside{6},the coach house, which was a bit of a put off at first because of potential traffic noise. However I soon got over that and had a most pleasant stay! The room itself was very fine, spacious and with a lovely new bathroom and everything about it...

A beautifully situated little hotel with the friendliest staff. Debbie was so welcoming . The room itself was clean, comfy & cosy with a beautiful view (room 8) & spotless ensuite. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice, & we ate at the stable bar on our 2nd night, which was lovely. Big portions! Again, delicious. I was a little worried...

Stayed for one night in room 2. The room was clean and cosy with nice monsoon shower. The proprieter was very friendly and accommodating. Must say all the staff were excellent being attentive to all our needs. Definite plus for this hotel is the view from the rear patio and conservatory which is stunning overlooking the hills surrounding Bassenthwaite lake....

Ravenstone Lodge is a converted 19th Century stables & lodge with many original features including the stables themselves which are now the bar. Situated at the foot of Ullock Pike close to Skiddaw with views towards Bassenthwaite Lake and the Northern Fells we are perfectly positioned to explore the Northern Lake District.Ravenstone Lodge is a privately small hotel with just 9 bedrooms and because of this we can provide a uniquely personal service and when you stay with us you are not just a room number but are our guests in the true meaning of the word. Because of this many return time and time again, maybe requesting their favourite room or that a particular dish be put on the menu.
