Having been spa members of both the old and new facilities it seems the same approach to maintenance has been kept. Frequently items are out of order such as the steam room, kids pool and outside jacuzzi this last visit. The towel hooks and toilet locks have had parts missing for years, the toiletry holders have been damaged for nearly...

We booked a break for one night in a balcony room (no.122). We also ate in the brasserie. Every part of the break was first class, there was nothing about the hotel, service, staff or surroundings that I could fault. Thank you so much, we'll definately be back!

Gorgeous hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Staff we friendly and attentive. gave us details of a lovely walk for the next day. Our bedroom was lovely and I liked the addition of the TV in the bathroom. They have manged to keep the grandeur of the hall whilst updating it with all the modern accessories.

It is with pleasure I write this review. When one arrives at a hotel and is given a complimentary glass of sherry whilst booking in; we are off to a good start. We then arrive in our room to find an addressed letter of welcome. There are bottles of water & some fresh fruit to compliment the usual tea tray...

What a wonderful building, immaculate inside and out. Such a pleasure to stay here. The owner must work very hard to keep the standards this high. Can't fault anything. Although they perhaps could use a couple of new cues for their excellent snooker table :) Had such a lovely time. Thank you very much

We took advantage of the overnight stay with breakfast, spa treatment and 3 course brasserie meal deal for our first anniversary. The location is in a beautiful part of the lakes, and right next to a distillery and a wildlife park, which are both worth a visit. Neither of us had ever been anywhere so fancy before, and we loved...

We continue to return to this hotel because it delivers everything we require in a relaxing stay. It becomes difficult to continue to praise this hotel as it always measures up to our high standards in every department on our visits. (See my previous reviews) I have read some of the more negative reviews and do not recognise there descriptions...

Cannot fault our weekend visit here. Two nights with dinner. Lovely rooms. Good service. Friendly staff. The food was excellent. Would definitely look to return. Definitely the best place to be on a winters weekend with the open fires and Christmas trees.

Spent a night here with a friend celebrating a birthday milestone, couldn't fault a thing despite having one of our treatments having to be cancelled due to a member of staff's absence. Our room was beautifully decorated, warm and had everything we required.Being near Christmas the hotel was bedecked with garlands, trees and lights. We ate in the bistro where the good...

I stayed here for 3 nights on business in the area. What a lovely place to stay, the scenery over the lake and mountains to the front was superb. The welcome from the hotel and its staff was very pleasant, I was offered a glass of sherry while checking in, nice touch. The room was very nicely decorated and the...
