I love this place. Have stayed here about 5 times and it just gets better and better Shower/toilet acilities are good, and very very clean. Washing machine is useful. Shop is really useful but honesty box/fridge is fantastic. Each pitch had a fire pit. The owners are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Great site.

This truly is in my own personal opinion my most favourite place to come. That’s why I come back every year. You have to know what your coming to beforehand as it’s strictly a quiet site with no large groups, no music and no excessive noise after 10pm. A fantastic base for mountain bikers and walkers with the best trails on the doorstep. I’ve left reviews before but just wanted to reiterate how good this place is. Great advice on days out from owners. Facilities are spot on. Location is amazing and this year to top it off the weather was fantastic. I always feel very welcomed and Dave, Sue, Louse and everyone else always give you their time just to have a chat. For me your not just a number on the site. I felt almost part of the family. Thankyou

Stayed here for one night walking Cumbria way. As all sites we should have booked as covid restrictions seem to have removed some campsites backing-packing walk in acceptable method. However we were fitted in. This nice campsite just of Cumbria way but would say have to book prior as very nearly had to walk on. Grass nice flat and soft. Toilet block exceptional clean and fresh. Due to restrictions in place it was actually quite pleasant as only two of us showered etc in family unit. Small honesty shop. Pub about 20min walk.

Lovely campsite with lots of places to walk. Friendly owners and even friendlier chickens! A much needed break during a difficult year. Camping was well spaced out and managed. Toilet and shower facilities were clean.

I experienced this as a well organised camp site, run by people who understood regular campers. The pitches are pretty flat. Every pitch has its own fire pit. There are beautiful trees around the edge of the site so you can choose what time of day you have sun / shade. There’s a cooking shelter for those in tiny tents. There are also a couple of metal barbecues. The lambs in the field next to the site cease bleating at night and I heard an owl hooting several times. The cats welcomed me / checked me out when we first arrived. The following morning the hens came round to see if I had any worms. A few days later the dogs finally greeted me! The toilets and showers seem new. There’s a sensible COVID policy in place to try to keep everyone safe. There are two big sinks with draining boards and hot water for washing up. The cleaning is regular and there’s also cleaning materials left out in case you want to do a bit extra. Also a freezer for ice packs. There’s a footpath from the site that leads to several full day walks and a pub within walking distance. I can see why this place is so popular.
