A prefect example of a lovely property lacking in certain areas. The context has to be noted and my stay was during the Covid 19 downturn so I understand the unusual stress and pressure but surely less guests would mean more time to get things right?

Check in was swift and pleasant. The room new and comfortable and I was kindly upgraded due to status. For a new hotel one would have hoped the sound proofing would have been better as road news was auditable.

Where the hotel was let down was housekeeping. It was inefficient, lackluster and poor. They simply didn't care and there was no request card to change sheets and as I was there an extended time I suspect the sheets would never have been changed without asking. A request for additional shower gel was ignkred until I gave up. The room only vaxxummed as I requested it and on several occasions, even calling down to reception failed to get the room cleaned before afternoon. I can understand why this would happen with high occupancy but with something like 10% or less there is no excuse.

Breakfast was repetitive without and changes daily, the young lady who usually served me was bright and cherry with a great welcome but the buffet was never changed except when they decided to close it unannounced due to a lack of guests.

In my last morning it was totally closed, I went elsewhere down outside the mall and when I returned I was asked if I had breakfast up stairs where they moved it. Again no one tells you, no signs and no letter.

Turn down service was an insane waste of time. They walk in with a bottle of water and a chocolate and leave. Perhaps fluffing the bed. Seriously, that's not a turndown service. Furthermore it's done at 4om.
Pastor restaurant was very nice indeed but I think the whole place needs to step it up to survive the price point and deliver way better service and value to survive. I will try again mid year and see if it has improved given time.

Nice hotel and rooms with only a short walk to the Chadstone shopping centre. We had planned to arrive and have a relaxing swim with our children to unwind but found out upon check in that the pool was closed for maintenance. Very disappointing as there was nothing on the booking site that we had booked through and no one had contacted us to inform us. I was impressed that a few hours after check in house keeping called our room to make sure that everything was good and asked if there was anything that they could do to improve our stay. I was also very happy that they provided us with four towels as a lot of the time when we stay in hotels we are only provided with three towels. The buffet breakfast was also delicious with berry pancakes, omelet’s made to order, eggs cooked any way you desire, cereals, pastries, fruits, yoghurts and even a chocolate fountain. Really enjoyable stay!

Stayed at the hotel last weekend and we loved it. The check in staff was very welcoming ad friendly. As an accor member, we got a free upgrade to a corner room. The room was very clean, tidy and well presented. Love all the Gold trims around the room and the hotel itself. Bed was comfortable too. The location of the hotel adjacent to Chadstone shopping centre is a great plus. One request which we didn’t get was the turndown service. In the room there is a card saying if you need turndown service to call reception to organise but when we did, they said that it had to be requested the day before which is quite odd considering we checked in on the day. For a 5 stars MGallery by sofitel Hotel, you would think these service will be available upon request. But this didn’t really disrupt our stay. As the hotel is quite new, we understand that there’s still some improvement to be made and I’m sure they’ll get it right soon. All in all, Hotel Chadstone is a beautiful hotel and I’ll definitely stay there again.

My wife & I are Accor members and this would have to be the most underwhelming M Gallery by Sofitel we have ever stayed in. First the positives, the bed was comfortable, the room clean but that's where it ends. We stayed during step 2 coming out of COVID but it might has well have been stage 4, the hotel lacked atmosphere, the room menus for breakfast (restaurant not open at breakfast, who knows why?) was limited to ultra expensive unusual breakfast food items that I'd be surprised if anyone would have ordered, Couldn't access the bar or the pool without bookings which surprise surprise there was no availability, the restaurant which we could get a booking with stuck us outside and wouldn't even fire up the outdoor heater as the evening cold came on. The shower was horrible, it would take over 30 secs from adjusting the tap to when you'd notice it through the rain shower head, so I went from being almost scolded to freezing several times in a minute until I worked out the delay. The Nespresso machine needed a clean too as it was espressing bitter coffee shots. We used this stay as our members included night and to be honest we felt really duped. Would not recommend, really not up to a M Gallery by Sofitel standard, maybe more like an Ibis grade

Our party arrived on a cool day but was greeted very warmly in the driveway. The vehicles were valet parked so we could relax and check in straight away. The hotel lobby is deceptively spacious with several lounge areas that guests can enjoy. Sarah on reception performed one of the smoothest most professional check ins experienced while the Porter whisked our voluminous luggage expertly to each room on the twelfth floor.

Wow, this near new hotel has the most stylish suites and upon entering each we were treated to huge floor to ceiling windows revealing the most magnificent views of the Melbourne City Skyline, Port Phillip Bay and the Dandenong Ranges. A dream arrival.

Suddenly our two-night booking was interrupted by a snap Melbourne lockdown but, this is when the hotel ramped up the service to the top and took even greater care of our party!

We had been preparing for a wedding the next day, but the snap lockdown rapidly destroyed our plans. At this point the entire hotel staff, led by Michelle, went into overdrive to help us!

We were offered a lovely private function space, followed by beautiful private dining to pull forward our wedding celebration. We did not expect but were very grateful for such amazing service. We were completely gob smacked by the high-level service.

Regrettably the speed of lockdown thwarted our plans, but we'll never forget the Hotel Chadstone team; all staff took service to a new level.

We visited the bar on the 7 February at about 5.30pm, nice surroundings but the staff were were not trained well, there were four of us and they didn’t get the drinks order correct, we had ordered four glasses and one arrived completely different to what we had ordered. Also ordered the cheese board and the staff member said that would not be enough for four people, maybe that’s ‘up selling’ but we did only order one which was ample and quite nice too. Also felt that the bottles should be bought to the table and poured in front of us, we could have been drinking anything!
We approached the hotel from inside the shopping centre and it was a gorgeous entrance.

Sadly I was really disappointed with my trip. I had planned a much needed girls night with my bestfriend as we have small children. We were really looking forward to it. Firstly it took 25 mins to book in as there was only one person on counter and a massive line. This was 3pm on a Saturday. There was some staff member fluffing around in a suit moving an empty luggage cart around the foyer trying to look busy. My friend asked him if he could assist on counter but he said no and something about changing over of managements shift. We got the room and were really excited to have a few glasses of bubbles. My friends champagne was warm so we needed ice. My friend went out into the hall way and bumped into a housekeeper who said she would organise it. 25 minutes later and no ice my friend calls reception for the ice and also someone to help set up GoogleCrome as the tvs don't have any pay TV stations. Reception said the ice would be right up but they she didn't know how the GoogleCrome worked and couldn't help. Another 20 mins later no ice so I call reception and order it again and also ask about the GoogleCrome. I must have gotten someone else as they said the ice will be right up and they are sending someone up to sort the GoogleCrome. After another 15 mins my friend had to grab something from her car and then go looking for the ice. She leaves and 2 mins later I get a knock at the door. No ice! But I was offered a cup and saucer. She gets back about 15 mins later. She ended up going to the Bar to get some ice there. Couldn't believe it still hadn't been delivered. So if you want good service... do not book here! Also the room was dirty!!!! Not a great sign when you believe all this deep cleaning is happening because of the Corona Virus. We moved a bedside table to put in between our twin beds as we needed something to put our shared cheese platter on. The amount of dust underneath was unbelievable. I was able to scrape it into a massive pile. So id say it have never been vacuumed since the hotel was built. It was all just such as shame as we were so looking forward to our night. I expected it to be much better.

We spent two nights in this hotel (due to some renovations at home). The staff were excellent, and efficient. Location of the hotel is great as it is located with the Chadstone Shopping Centre also known as The Fashion Capital of Australia! Hotel rooms were clean and well appointed. For a brand new 5 star hotel, the owners could have decked out the rooms slightly better- ie Nespresso Coffee across all room categories (not just the top rooms!)

I have been staying at Accor chain properties for well over 7 years and spent many many nights during this time only at Accor properties all over the World. It has been a very good experience as I found out that their hotels are above average compared to other chains.
However, I cannot say this regarding the Hotel Chadstone Melbourne, MGallery by Sofitel.
Stayed four nights at this hotel as an ALL-platinum member, it is not 5 stars and will not be back.
It was a treat for our wedding anniversary, and we were assured by the Hotel Chadstone Melbourne, MGallery at reception that they would make the stay very special, however nothing was received. Not even any Platinum benefits. Not one MGallery staff member, over the four days acknowledged this milestone.
“Service” is very fake and not up to the standards that you expect from other Accor properties. Staff do not care about customer service nor provide accurate information and somewhat cheats you. Restaurant, Bar and Reception staff where more interested in chatting amongst themselves.
Even though I am a loyal ALL platinum member the staff there make you feel like you are interrupting them AND treat you like an outsider. Management needs to address this.
The food is overpriced, very small portions and limited selection for what you receive. We left dinner at the Pastore Restaurant and breakfast starving hungry. Fortunately, there was plenty of options at the nice eateries in the food court at the shopping centre attached.

We’ve had one and I think it’s only in the suites but have a look at the website to check. The rooms are all lovely, the beds very comfortable and after a number of stays we can’t fault this hotel on comfort, service and all their offerings. We’ve never experienced noise and the views are amazing.
