Hotel was very pleasant and clean, the staff were very helpful. The surroundings are great and makes for the perfect location for many areas to be visited in the area. I can see why this is popular to visit.

If you're on a low budget, this must be the best value in Switzerland. I booked direct with the owner/chef Jurg, and got the discount rate of CHF55 for half-board offered for those who stay more than one night. I stayed six nights, because this is a great area for hiking; five valleys meet at Innertkirchen. Wood panelling, creaky floors,...

Although the room and facilities (shared) were adequate and clean, the place is old and in dire need of refurbishment. I suppose someone decided to go for some DIY the night we were there because we could hear constant hammering till 22:45. The creaky floorboards make it uncomfortable for a person to walk about in the dead of night to...

Awful first impression, when we found the hotel all closed up as we arrived. Inquiries in the bar next door revealed that the hotel didn't open on Thursdays - well, why the hell did they take a booking from me for Thursday then - but that the girl serving in the bar had a key and would let us in....

As 2 male English motorcyclists we were not made to feel welcome here at all. It felt like we were intruding on the locals whenever we were there. Breakfast consisted of some cold meat slices and some dry cheese and a glass of orange. Room was ok and seemed clean with its own sink. Luckily the wifi was good which...

In an alpine world of paying a premium for everything, this hotel is a welcome respite. Funny thing is, the town is located at the start of a wonderful loop of three mountain passes totalling 80 miles. The rooms are big with lots of room for motorcycle gear. Parking lot across the street is free! The shower and bath is...

We knew when we booked that this was a 'cheap and (hopefully) cheerful' option as it was cheaper than accommodation in the area. We particularly wanted somewhere close to the Passes, and didn't mind sharing bathrooms as it was good value. Don't go expecting valet parking at that price and you won't be disappointed. It's in a small village with...

It was an economic Bed and Breakfast choice to spend a skiing weekend in Meiringen and it proved very good.It is a simple old, but well preserved hotel. No luxuries,no Internet, but is well kept, there is TV and nice breakfast. The restaurant also offers very nice food(we had a great fondu) and the personnal is very kind. A good option...

This is one of those reviews that I question the wisdom of writing as I don't want to make the place so well know that it's impossible to get a room in future! My travelling companion and I ended up at this place as our booking for an alternative venue with booking.com was not honoured. The price of around £28...
