I don't exactly know where to begin because the entire stay was amazing! The hospitality was first class from the owner Rodrigo and his wife the entire time and made you feel like family! The beds are super comfortable, the sheets and towels super soft and I can't say enough about the staff! Maurelio, Thais and everyone was so friendly and welcoming it truly made the experience fantastic! The breakfast was also GREAT with the staff cooking whatever you wanted and the best Pao de Queijo I've ever had! Also an amazing selection of wines which you won't be able to find in the nearby stores and for very reasonable prices. Made some amazing friends there as well while hanging around the pool. Sad to leave but can't wait to come back next year if not sooner! Obrigado!!
For Caraiva this would be a boutique hotel. There are 4 large rooms where you can feel like if you were home. The owners take care of everything while you have the freedom to explore the small town walking.
Villa Fulo is a hidden gem in magical Caraiva. With only four rooms and a pool in the middle it feels truly private. The breakfast is beyond delicious, which you will find on a beautiful wooden table in the morning. Fresh juice is prepared not before the first guests show up to ensure that it‘s as fresh as possible. Tapioca and eggs are also prepared on demand. You can definitely see, that all the different food is of highest quality, hand made, or hand picked. Late afternoon there‘s complimentary cake and coffee. On the rooftop there is a whirlpool which can be heated up if you ask. The rooms are so lovely and the owners are so so nice and helpful, we didn‘t even want to leave. We could continue our list of things we loved about this place, instead we just recommend you to stay here if you are in Caraiva.…
Our recent stay at Villa Fulo in Caraiva was superb. Certainly, the best of my trip to Brazil. I've stayed in many places around the world but this one is special and the best so far! Stunning architecture and impressive attention to detail, Villa Fulo has a nice atmosphere and makes you never want to leave. The breakfast each morning was exceptional - especially the homemade cakes baked each afternoon for the morning after! Still dreaming about them! Our room was super cozy, clean and beautifully decorated. Super comfortable bedding - it was hard waking up in the morning - and great bathroom! The owners (Rodrigo and Carol) and the staff members (Karen, Cris, Ilza, and Mauricio) were very professional, helpful and lovely and we felt very welcome by them. We will most definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks to all. Tabata and Paul…
Villa Fulo is a newly restored and superbly designed mansion, consisting of 4 separate rooms with a communal pool, kitchen and table. I have traveled in many places around the world and always tried to spot beautiful hotels / flats to rent. I must say this one might be ranking #1 in my personal list. Wherever you look you find beautiful details, whether is the blue/green stone tiles in the pool, the house maid baking a different cake each afternoon for the morning after, the amazing wood used for every piece of forniture and pavement around the pool, the decor of the rooms. All of this is even more amazing when compared with the surrounding Caraiva, which is a heart-breaking place but very simple and rustic, so stepping in the Villa after a day spent on the beach or in a walk in town is really great! The house is also well located in a quiet part of Caraiva, with a 5’ walk from the church and the river where most restaurants and bars are located, and 5-10’ walk to the beach. To top it up, both the staff on the grounds and the owner Rodrigo are super helpful with organising activities, giving suggestions and anything you need. Rodrigo, who speaks perfect English, even helped us out when we were then staying in Trancoso, after we left Caraiva (which by the way we resented as Caraiva is 10x better..). Rodrigo, if you open up other places somewhere else in the world please let us know!!…
