We stayed in this hotel in August 2019. Hotel has outdated facilities including very old carpet and extremely poor ventilation. Room is on the top floors tend to overheat especially in the summer. There are very beautiful balconies on the top floor however which gives you the view of a nice park.Breakfast which is decent enough was hampered by very the stuffy dining space.
There is however a nice porch outside to eat. The staff was very attentive which is pretty much the only decent thing about this facility. Moreover the price point is very similar to a Munich or Nurenberg hotel for what you would expect more
If you are travelling with the car through Europe, either for business or for tourism, this hotel has a very good location close to highways, close to Munich and close to Austria. Whether you just overnight or stay a couple of nights to visit southern Bavaria, this place is right for you. Hotel is good, clean, pretty good breakfast, in one word: German comfort. Suits have big terraces and natural light in bathroom. Parking is easy, shops nearby. Minibar a little expensive. Would have appreciated complimentary water for junior suite, although there was a Nespresso machine with some complimentary coffee.
One thing I don't remember: air conditioning. Maybe I haven't noticed it, but I'm pretty sure you only had heating controls and no cooling controls. Check it out if it's important for you.
Really liked this hotel. Very easy to find from motorway and secure underground parking a bonus. Staff friendly and hotel clean. Our room 340 corner room with lovely balcony, lovely and clean with a comfortable bed. Would have loved to write about restaurant food however due to roadworks we arrived too late, the restaurant closes 10pm. If you are running king late or plan to arrive late eat beforehand as we could not find anywhere nearby open, and it was Sat night.
Breakfast continental, and a fair amount of choice.
The front of house is well presented, the staff are very friendly, the rooms however were a completely different manner. Old, dated, stains on carpets, beds & chairs. This for me is the main part of my stay, I am sleeping in the room & pay for it.
I would avoid staying there again.
A week’s stay at the NH Deggendorf on a business trip. Its my second time here.
This is a typical European continental hotel.
- a stone’s throw away from town city centre and shopping centers.
- within walking distance to the work place
- reasonable rates
- clean and contemporary
- refillable bath shampoo and handwash soap
- breakfast spread is pretty good by my standards and expectations of European hotels at this price range.
To be improved
- include water kettle and coffee making facilities in the room
- the WIFI is rather slow and unstable
- insufficient tables during morning peak hour for breakfast
