Enjoyed an excellent weekend break here at a super sale price in "dune apartment". Clean, comfortable, spacious room at an excellent (special offer) price. Warm and cosy. Good shower. Excellent towels. Great housekeeping. Beautiful grounds. Good bed, though pillows far too flat (German style which are ok if you´re used to them but most uncomfortable if you prefer a higher sleeping position)....no additional pillows in room. Perfect location. Close to beach and town. Very quiet at night. Excellent breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good parking. Bar and restaurant both welcoming. Couple of grumbles...why no coffee machine or kettle in room? HATE starting or finishing the day without a hot drink. Fridge/minibar would be equally missed in warmer months. Can´t understand these omissions in a 4 star hotel... would think twice about paying full summer rate.

Have just spent a lovely weekend in one of my favourite parts of the world. We took advantage of a special offer in this hotel and it was remarkable value for money. Because it was a special offer we had to take a standard room, and for a standard room it was comfortable and spacious. Two downsides: the wardrobe was too small and the room was easily large enough to accommodate a larger one; and the room was rather dark, the lights themselves were unusual and attractive but the room could have benefitted from a more powerful light perhaps on a dimmer switch. We also found the public rooms to be a bit on the dark side.

The breakfasts were very good with excellent breads and lovely locally sourced eggs and bacon. Unfortunately there were only two coffee machines serving the entire dining room resulting in long queues in front of each of them. However, the coffee was worth the wait! We took fish for our main course on the first night which was not hot enough and had the feel that it had been 'bought in'. The second night was a buffet which had almost no meat or chicken. The desserts though we're delicious.

There is ample parking on site and the hotel is magnificently situated for the dunes and those wonderful beaches.

We spent a very relaxed weekend with the family at the de zeeuwse stromen. Staff was very friendly and facilities were sufficient to spend a layed-back weekend. There's a small 'wellness area' consisting of a small whirlpool, a sauna and a steam room as well as an indoor pool. The outdoor pool was closed due to the season. Breakfast was served in form of an international Buffet with a variety of sweet and savoury items just as you might find in any 3 star + hotel. On our first evening we also went for the dinne buffet which was surprisingly good. The rooms were well maintained and clean and special needs were attended too promptly. The hotel itself is situatef approximately 300 m from the seemingly endless beach and going for a walk around the area is very appealing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

This was a 3 night stay for me & the missus to get away from it all... and this hotel exceeded my expectations!

PERFECTLY located just behind the sand dunes, 5min walk to the lovely dutch beaches of Zeeland. No large appartment blocks or ugly promenades here. You immediately feel at rest in this hotel...

+plusses+

Breakfast was a DELIGHT. Other hotels, please take notes - THIS is how you do breakfast!!
Several kinds of fresh bread, croissants and tasty scambled eggs. More types of museli than you can name. Skim, semi , whole milk options.... Coffee options with REAL MILK.... I could go on. If I could have my way I would have had the breakfast buffet 3x a day here..!

SUPERB staff. Can't remember the last time I felt almost embarrassed to be so well served. This is 5*****star service, I cannot complement the staff enough.

The hotel itself is very well laid out, with lovely lawns in the courtyard, a pool and lots of peaceful place to sit and eat or drink both daytime and evening.

Lunch & dinner options are superb, in my opinion. Both healthy and heavy choices, and can be eaten outside, in the restaurant, or in the cosy bar.

The bar is great. Nice choices, bar-men/women who know what they are doing and very comfy.

Bike hire is cheap and so well organized.

-minuses-

Well, these are really MINOR issues to be honest... I would have liked a minibar in the room.... and perhaps a few more deck-chairs by the pool.
But I'm really struggling to find negatives so I will stop.

All in all? I will return here as soon as possible. Probably next time with my 2 year old as well. Great for both couples and family.

If you do not like this place then you need your head checked!!!

5 STARS from me and the missus'

The room we had was a colorful yellow but very roomy. The only down fall for us was only one cabinet for our cloths and no mini bar or portal fridge in such a spacey area. The was okay but a bit too soft but of course taste varies, The bathroom was okay except that the sink was not in order with the faucets. A small detail but still something the hotel should check on for future clients. A very good breakfast and friendly staff. On the the hold I would come again but take my dog as well since accommodations a good for pets and it's nice if you have kids as well. I would recommend it considering the price and surroundings close to the beach.
