This homestay was booked by the travel agency, which organized our Sri Lanka trip.
It turned out to be one of our favourite stays. The room had an amazing view to the waterfall, the breakfast was super tasty and made with love and the host family was really lovely. Their cats were also up for a cuddle :D
The only thing is, that you need a Tuktuk to get to the accommodation, as you can't reach it by car. However this is not a huge concern, as long as you know and you can plan for it.
Clear recommendation! :)

Having found ourselves in a very gloomy property in the very chilly high tea country, we threw in the towel and booked a night at Waterfalls Homestay, where we were lucky enough to stay three years ago. Delightful hosts, very comfy room and simply delicious breakfast. Ella rocks with lots of fabulous places to dine in the evening - cocktails, delicious food and live music. A serious lift to the spirits.

Our third trip to Sri Lanka, and it was great to reacquaint ourselves with Karen and Martin. This is such a welcoming unusual place and a great base for visiting Ella. We have been in the Jungle Room, the Studio Room and this time stayed in the Veranda Room which we thought was wonderful - spacious and a wonderful decor. Karen's cooking is superb and her 'ever so easy ' chocolate cake is to die for! There always seems to be good company with the other visitors too which is some img we really like. A total chilled out relaxing place to stay

We spent five nights here and had a great time. The setting is sublime; the homestay is surrounded by tropical greenery and offers fine views across the valley to the waterfall. We stayed in the Verandah Room, which met our needs in every way, including a secluded area outside with a little fishpond where the family’s two cats came to drink. Karen and Martin were outstanding hosts, always helpful and informative. The breakfasts on the deck were a highlight of our Sri Lankan holiday. We didn’t do any extended hiking but enjoyed easy walks to the waterfall and to Ella town. It was the perfect holiday getaway.

The guesthouse is a little out of town but the view over the waterfall makes it all worthwhile. We received a friendly welcome by Kamal, on arrival ,and had the upstairs room - very spacious and cosy but steep steps up. Kamal turned out to be a very good cook so both the breakfast and the curry was great. It is the kind of place that you need to spend a couple of nights otherwise you will miss the relaxing atmosphere of Ella and good walking. Also, very well priced

Ditto what Yeshe61 says. Easy to get a tuk tuk. They may arrange one to be there to meet you if you ask. They are very accommodating. We loved our stay and are sure you will love it too!
There are 4 different rooms, 3 of which are advertised and a spare room. The largest room is the studio room, which accommodates a large bed and a single bed. For prices, it's best to contact the owners directly via their website.
Hi! I'm not the owner! You must contact them! I just stayed there for one night! Look them up on the internet, you'll find all the contacts there! Tripad won't let me link you the address.
