Getting to the Quartiers apartments (more like Condos) from the main road is approximately 5 to 10 min. Once you pass the main gate, add an extra 3 to 5 min drive to get to our apartment building - it was one of the furthest. There's always free parking. However, it is absolutely worth it - the view is just breath taking! It is very near golf courses (can't tell if it's all the same golf course but we saw quite a few).
We rented a car; I think that it's a must. I'm not sure if there's a bus that comes close to this area.
Our apartment was just amazing! It was very clean when we arrived and had a spacious patio with a beautiful view - also it was very quiet. We didn't see many neighbors. All modern! The apartment had 2 separate bedrooms (each with a washroom). The kitchenette was well equipped. It also had a clothing washing machine. Having known this in advance, I would not have brought that many clothes.... and yes, I did wash my clothes almost at the end of my vacation - didn't have to wash it when I got home... Love it! We even enjoyed one of the 4 pools.
The only negative points that I can add are that the mattresses were too soft; I prefer harder. The shower door to the smallest washroom didn't close very well. Therefore, the water accumulated on the floor - I had to be creative. All in all - I was very satisfied with the apartment! :)
i booked Quartiers for 6 40 year old men who wanted a weekend away and cannot fault it in any way, the place was spotlessly clean, the 3 bedroom apartment we had was huge and to be honest cant believe what value it was,All the lads were gobsmacked with how the views and pool were equally as good and i would not hesitate to go back with family or friends at any time, staff on check in and check out were excellent and the gate house security sorted taxi's amd anything else we wanted,Excellent!!!
I thought this property looked really nice from the pictures, but it actually surpassed my expectations!
We arrived late at night, maybe 10.30pm, and initially we took a few wrong turns when trying to find the property, so be prepared with a GPS system / Google maps, etc. When we found the property, we picked up our keys from the security guard at the front gate. Straight away I was really impressed with the security in this property - it felt very safe and secure.
When we got to our apartment, I was so impressed. We had the two bedroom apartment and it had a luxurious but comfortable feel to it. Very clean and spacious. There was a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room area, washing machine - everything you would need!
When you arrive, there is one towel left on each bed (two on a double bed), so you may need to bring more towels with you, depending on the group that's going and how long you're there for. There were also two huge balcony's, one that was empty which we used to dry clothes (on a clothes horse that was provided by Quartiers), and another balcony which we used as the "social" one! It had two sun loungers, a table and chairs, and another seating area. The air con in the apartment is extremely good, we used it every day as the weather was so hot in July.
There is WiFi in the rooms, however a few people in our group were having trouble connecting to it so we had to buy sim cards to use 4G. Also included is a parking spot in your building which is very handy! Although when we arrived, there was another car parked in our spot which didn't move for the first three days, meaning we had to park just outside our building for the first few days, but reception asked the other car to move so we were fine for the rest of our trip.
The property itself is gorgeous, great views all around. There are 4 pools, which we found to be quiet in the mornings and the evenings, but we did go one of the afternoons and it was too busy at all four pools so I would recommend going early if you like to laze around the pool for the day! My favourite pool was the one closest to the entrance of the property - the infinity one, it was gorgeous!
The reception area sells a pack that includes toilet rolls, water, dishwasher tablets, etc. which was really handy - we had already bought ours in Lidl before we realised they were available on site though. There were no restaurants on site (that I know of anyway) and it is about 15 mins drive from the nearest little town so you will definitely need a car if you want to leave the property. The drive to Marbella Old Town & Puerto Banus is a little bit further than it says on Google Maps as there's generally a lot of traffic up that way so the location probably wouldn't be ideal, but we thought it worth it as the complex was so nice.
We had a really positive experience at Quartiers and would definitely return again!
The situation of Quartiers means it has fabulous views of the coast and the two bed apartment we stayed in had views of the coast and nearby mountains.
There is underground parking and a lift up to the three floors of apartments. The apartments are very spacious and have air-con. We had a large double room with ample built in wardrobes and en-suite with a bath/shower. The other twin room also had a decent sized shower room. The kitchen was a bit basic for crockery/utensils but had a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. Completely sufficient for our stay. There was an indoor dining area and an outside dining area. The lounge and bedroom both had patio doors opening on to a large terrace which had two sun loungers plus outside shaded sofa and chairs.
The pools (4 of them) were clean and were never crowded. Plenty of sunbeds and shade so you could alternate between cooling in the pool and lounging. The infinity pool has a bar/snack kiosk which is convenient. The amenity planting gave the environment a very pleasant feel and there was a team of grounds people keeping it immaculate. The pool was open from dawn to dusk so you could have an early morning dip or evening swim when it was a bit cooler. The resort provide towels including additional towels for the pool which was appreciated.
As the apartments are self-catering, the nearest supermarket is about 8 minutes away by car. Benahavis is about 10 minutes so you could easily do this via a taxi. If you want to explore though, a car would probably be more cost effective.
It was simple to check in and out, the staff were all utterly pleasant and helpful.
We found it a relaxing place and the number of pools meant it never felt busy. There was a mix of people/families from a range of countries. With only 50 units, it was a comfortable community and I will definitely be returning.
4 friends rented here last week. A car is a must unless you want to relax at the pool. good size ground floor apartment with seating and dining terrace. Both bedrooms has their own bathroom and reception staff are helpful. You can also buy water, coffee pods, dishwasher tabs here. Although there is a supermarket about 5 mins drive away. Apartments are clean and spacious. My only bug bear was I like to cook and the kitchen has only a few pots and pans and not any serving dishes. Also you do not have a clean or clean towels on a 6 night stay. You do have a washing machine so not a huge issue. Having said that we would come again. Make sure you go to Benhavis village for dinner/drinks - about 12 euros in a cab.
