The hotel is quite rundown and indeed need an upgrade, our bathroom was like 2 star hotel bathroom or worse it’s mouldy and the toilets near the pool and beach area was like a public toilet, I was planning to take a shower after the beach but I had to leave right away.

We had an early flight we arrived at 6am and we were asked to pay if we wanna check in early, even at 12 basically u need to pay if u wanna check in anytime before 3pm! This is a first for me as usually the hotel wouldnt ask you to pay if there’s rooms available for early check in. And after 8 hours wait I asked if we can have a room on the top floor, the receptionist said it depends on what u ordered and gave me the keys without saying anything else. Apart from that unwelcoming check in, the pool slider staff and concierge were friendly and helpful.

The pool slider was the highlight but there’s no gym or sauna. I’m surprised as this is the absolute basic for a 4 star hotel. However the sea view was magnificent, I would only come again if the hotel has a renovation.

This is most definitely a Japanese tourist hotel. We were the only ones that we saw the entire weekend who were non Japanese. The poor check-in experience likely started off our staycation weekend on a negative note, as the front desk manager was clearly not approving of us. The hotel was not as full as some of the others around the bay in Guam, and perhaps it's because of this attitude. We asked about paying for an upgrade, to which the mama-san hurried over to the front deck clerk checking us in and said NO. Side note: the clerk was very polite and pleasant.

Our room was okay and there was an attempt to make it clean. However, we're in Guam and there's not a lot you can do about the mold which permeates everything. The toilet area and shower area are very cramped, and there is no exhaust fan to rid of the moisture (perhaps why there's mold in the hotel). The sink area is separate with nice amenities, with some of the best shampoo and conditioner I've used. They also provide soap, body wash, razor, toothbrush/paste, sewing kit, and slippers for use.

Beds were clean and firm, just how we like them. There was a plastic hanging contraption for drying clothes in the bathroom, but that was pretty much useless. The only place to hang is on the shower rod, and the clothes dripped onto the floor (duh!) so we hung our swim and snorkel gear over the chairs on the balcony.

Rooms all face the water, so you really cannot get a bad room. There is lots of construction going on next door with the building of an additional high rise, and the "nature path" is not much to speak of and is closed a few yards down the beach. The hotel's small beach is private and acceptable, and it opens into Gun Beach next door. We walked up the beach past Gun Beach, up the trail behind the Japanese cannon, and past Fai Fai beach. Lovely secluded area there, which was great for snorkeling. They have a small playground for the kids as well as a couple of hammocks between some palm trees.

There is a buffet, Chinese, and Japanese restaurant with set hours (lunch 1100-1400), and dinner doesn't serve until 1800. Not many concessionaires or places to eat if you don't stick carefully to the posted times. They've got a nice little store for trinkets and mementos. In the evening there is a magic show and a beach BBQ with the local and fire dancers, but we recommend skip the hotel's BBQ and go next door to TaoTao Tasi which has a much better & bigger show plus is more welcoming and enjoyable with better food.

They have a large area on the ground floor for kids, nursing, and eating at a buffet. The grounds are lovely with a very large pool connected by a waterfall into another pool. There's also a nice water slide, and you can sit on a mattress and slide down into a small pool. There's also an on-site spa, rental car, and tour activity desk.

We felt completely unwelcomed at this hotel. We will not be back.

I've once been to Guam in 2002. At that time, I already finished sight seeing for Yokoi Cave, Two Lovers Point etc. This time, the main purpose was just for visiting Micronesia, Fiji, Tuvalu, Wallis after Guam. I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel is located at the north end of Tumon Bay and it is almost 15-20-minute walk from city center. From my room (No. 735) I could see many hotels over Tumon Bay. There was the Japanese restaurant called as Benkei and others , and convenience store in the hotel. Japanese are working as the concierge. It's a very comfortable hotel for Japanese. I had a free day in Guam, and I visited Statue of Liverty located at Hagatna. To go there, I bought one day ticket for Red Shuttle bus. It was very usefull. I took a bus at the bus stop in front of the hotel and changed at GPO (Guam Premier Outlets) to an another bus to Hagatna S/C. I took lunch at the Japanese restaurant in GPO and came back to city center by a shuttle bus. Then, I went also to Micronesia Mall. I took dinner at Benkei restaurant in the hotel.

Unfortunately, I stayed 7 nights at the Nikko Guam hotel in January of 2019. At the time of check-in I noticed a musty smell that I hoped was contained to the lobby. I initially dismissed the smell and assumed it was due to the pool or humid climate.....

The person working the front desk notified that I had been upgraded to a different room when I was checking in. The room I was upgraded to was on the 14th floor which also smelled musty. When entering the room I again noticed the strong musty smell, I then noticed the teal colored carpet that was thoroughly stained. I did not feel comfortable walking on the carpet so I made sure to keep shoes or socks on at all times. Next, I entered the bathroom and saw the dirty shower/tub combination and drain that was broken. The water pressure was also a problem.

Lastly, the bed and sheets. The bed was very, very firm. I like firm beds but this was like sleeping on hard wood floors. The sheets had stains on them when I arrived to the room. I requested the sheets get changed but instead the housekeeping service decided to leave the same sheets on and make the bed. Unfortunately, the sheets had very recognizable stains which allowed me the confidence to know they were never changed.

In short - I will never stay at this hotel again due to the uncleanliness and poor service.

After check-out,I remembered to put my dress in the closet. So,I went back to the hotel to bring my dress that day. But I couldn't find out my dress. . . They said there wasn't my dress. . ;;;;I was embarassed by that situation..
While I was staying there, they didn't make my room too. . .

I recommeded, if you want to stay tje hotel, you have to keep your baggage locking it.
