This hotel was amazing from the moment we stepped in. The lobby was beautiful and the staff was eager to greet you with southern hospitality. The pool and movies were a great treat my kids lives it , and the free hot breakfast bar was great. Thank you Ramsey for a wonderdul stay we will be back soon.
OK, in the spirit of honesty, this place is pricey. My wife and I knew that beforehand and we had pretty high expectations. Let me say that The Ramsey completely blew us away! We normally stay at the Margaritaville Hotel and cannot go back after staying at The Ramsey. The rooms are beautiful (and clean), all of the staff were fantastic, the breakfast was amazing, and our kids absolutely loved watching movies at the pool. When you vacation, you should be focused on having fun. Thanks to The Ramsey we were able to do that. They've won customers for life and we travel to Pigeon Forge 3 or 4 times each year.
My only constructive comment would be to post each night's movie schedule somewhere in the lobby earlier in the day. My kids would have loved that.
I chose this hotel because of the location and 24 hour pool area, but was hesitant on some reviews I'd read. This hotel has been recently renovated and still has minor work being done, but I'm glad I booked our stay. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful no matter what shift was there. We stayed for 5 nights in a double queen room in a clean comfortable room. A fridge is a must with dinner leftovers and the microwave is a must as well. The only complaint about the room would be the water pressure in the shower, but the adjustable shower head helped. The 24 hr heated pool, hot tub and fire pit area was wonderful. The fresh popcorn and movie night in the pool area was an extra for us too. Loved the 24 hr coffee, tea hot chocolate area too. The hot breakfast buffet served in the bar/restaurant area each morning was good and some items switched so you weren't eating the same thing each morning. The stone fireplace in the lobby was a great place to relax after that breakfast each morning. This was our first, but won't be our last visit to this hotel. We had a great time.
Immediately upon arrival I encountered kind and capable front desk attendants, Kat, who waited on me, and Sarah who introduced herself to me as well. All staff had genuine smiles and made sure I knew they were available if needed.
When I got to my room, it made sense to me. The general manager, R Ogle, had a welcome note that included his cell number if there was any need that wasn’t tended to properly 24/7. On that welcome sheet, he encouraged guests to rate staff by name. I’ve never seen anything like it!
The room was perfectly clean, odor free, and bathroom supply of shampoo, lotions, soaps, etc., was more than adequate.
The in room single cup coffee maker is state of the art and we’ll supplied. I didn’t see any amenity that was under supplied.
The complimentary breakfast was a perfect blend of fruits and all customary items.
The lobby area and bar is beautiful and spotless. The grounds were beautiful with amazing attention given to real flowers in soil and pots. Whoever tends to the grounds has a full time job! Perfect.
I was there without family but the place is family friendly. They have movie night for families in the pool area with fresh popcorn, hot chocolate (went well with my popcorn) and all types of coffee and cold drinking water too.
I travel constantly and have stayed at budget and high end hotels all over the U.S. and this is the first time I’ve ever written a review... and, though it may sound like it, I don’t work for The Ramsey!
I did meet Mr. Ogle, the general manager, who was walking around during breakfast Tuesday morning, and was able to tell him what a wonderful experience I was having being hosted by he and his crew. He told me of his career in the hospitality industry in the area and the many years he’d been at different noted hotels in the area. When I commented on his staff he said, “many of them have followed him there having worked with him at other hotels.
If I live to go back to Pigeon Forge and have to stay in a hotel, there’s not a place I’d rather stay than The Ramsey.
Thought the pool area was in door out door but it is just a small indoor pool with opening sliding doors. Only 3 lounge chairs and it's a convention center, really! Room clean, hallways look old and need updated. Definitely over priced!
