Would not describe this as the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, but it definitely was not the worst. We had a comfortable room and good breakfast. I wish we could've enjoyed the pool, but the times it is open are VERY strictly enforced. Overall, if I was stopped in Guthrie again for an overnight stay, I'd most likely stay here.
Sleep Inn is a Sleep Inn you know what your getting. Rooms are clear, staff was very friendly, nice hot tub and a pool. Right off the highway so very convenient.
Breakfast needs some work. Cold eggs and sausage no fresh fruit unless you count over ripe bananas.
Over all it a good place to lay your head.
Would stay again price is right.
Stayed on 2 separate occasions several weeks apart this summer. Decent place, decent breakfast. Under construction. Pool was closed while there. It was clean and very quiet. Will stay here again if we ever travel this way.
My husband and I stayed here on 8-2-14 and 8-3-14. They were doing some remodeling so they claimed to charge lower prices. Rooms still came out to over $95. 00 a night. The Pool and Gym
were closed while they remodeled. The laundry facility had two washers and 2 dryers. Cost $1.50 each for both the washer and dryer, however the dryers needed $3.00 per load to dry anything.
They did a pretty nice job on the entry way of the motel but like I stated earlier, the rooms were pretty small and the bathrooms left no privacy whatsoever... No vents .Just a shower and a toilet with a sliding wood door about 3 foot wide by 6 foot long at best!!! That being said, the beds were comfy and clean. This was just no equivalent to a Comfort Suites by any means....
I have been staying at this hotel for a number of years as I come to town to visit family. While the staff is friendly and much of the hotel is clean, there are several issues. The pool has not been open for several years. It is always "closed for repairs". Once, maybe twice is ok, but every time over the last few years. Additionally, I go barefoot. Last few times the carpet in mine room feels really dirty to the bare foot. If they are cleaning it, they are not extracting the dirty water. Yuck! That indicates to me some real cleanliness issues.
They are remodeling, but they have been remodeling for quite some time. Are they making progress? They do put out a decent breakfast, but at the rate of over $100/night, I expect more. Not a lot of choice if you are going to actually stay in Guthrie, but I think I will try the motel across the road.
