We found this place by chance one evening when looking for somewhere to stay in the Tamar River estuary area and boy what a find it was. The cottage we had was superb, well appointed, clean, comfortable and with every facility you could want. Shortly after arrival Colin and Barbara arrived with the ingredients for breakfast, not only was there everything you could wish for but it was all top quality and the following morning at a time when we were ready ,which is a bonus, we cooked a delicious breakfast looking out from our room to the Tamar. We then leisurely strolled around the lovely big garden to the river and back and chatted some more to Colin and Barbara who must be two of the most charming and helpful people we have met in our five and a half months in Ausrtalia. Colin even offered to wash our car! This place is a delight, run by delightful people, don't miss it.

We had a such a lovely stay here! The gardens were beautiful, the cottage was clean with great amenities, and it was close to all the West Tamar Valley wineries. We were given a delicious breakfast hamper everyday, and freshly baked treats on arrival, you could tell it was all prepared with love and care!

The room was cleaned while we were out during the day, including the washing up, which was such a nice touch and meant we didn’t have to worry about it. I couldn’t recommend this place enough - thank you Barb and Colin!

What a welcome from Barbara a full introduction to the property and garden. We are in the Rosebank room very spacious and lovely bathroom.A delightful chocolate and biscuit awaited us and a beautiful continental breakfast in the frig awaits us, beautiful meats , cheese, yoghart, cereal, juice, jams, fresh bread. We are impressed after 2 weeks in Tasmania paying big money we feel this is value for money, and one of the cleanest we have stayed in. Best Wishes Barbara and Colin

A very nice 'cottage' with lots of space and a very pleasant outlook. The sad thing is, the weather was utterly dismal, with rain when I arrived and, on the next day, a total deluge almost all day. This was so sad because I couldn't explore the lovely gardens - and Barb and I are both keen gardeners so I would've loved to hear her description of her garden. Neither could I sit on the nice balcony outside my room.
Having said that, Barb and Colin were most welcoming and made me feel at home. When I went down to Reception to use the wifi Barb made me tea and stayed for a chat, offering advice about local places.
As the next day was total deluge time I was confined to barracks, so I was very glad that I had such a comfortable and spacious room with lots of nice things for breakfast. To compensate for the bad weather I was able to cook a Major Breakfast thanks to the lovely supplies.
I'd love to see the grounds in good weather and I'm sad my experience was limited, but no fault of Barb and Colin!
