Colin and Barbara, the hosts, were simply amazing during our stay and really went the distance to ensure that we had a wonderful stay in Beauty Point.
We stayed for four nights and because of availability had to move from a cottage to one of the rooms. Our protests to move ourselves were shouted down and our things were moved whilst we were out. That is true service that goes above and beyond what we would expect.
There were other thoughtful things done during our stay - like clothes washing and Colin even helped us to clean our car, which after several trips to national parks had seen better days. Again, this is above and beyond.
They are full of helpful suggestions regarding the local are. As one may guess, they are friendly and welcoming.
All of the little things in the rooms are done to perfection - the rooms have things like toothbrushes and other useful things that can make things easier.
The breakfasts provided use local produce and are top-notch. You cook them yourself on the immaculately maintained BBQ overlooking the Tamar River - brilliant way to start the day. The cottage we stayed in had full kitchen facilities too if the BBQ is not your thing. You will most definitely not go hungry.
The beds in both the cottage and our room (Rosebank suite) were very comfortable and the rooms themselves were well appointed. The cottage warms up beautifully in the morning.
If you are taking a trip to sample the delightful Tamar Valley region, I would give the highest recommendation to a stay here.

Overlooking the Tamar estuary, this B&B gave us essentially a whole luxury flat: bedroom, dining area on the verandah, sitting room, bathroom with jacuzzi in the bath. Our bed looked out onto a richly planted garden & the river. The kind and welcoming owner Colin couldn't do enough for us & gave us plentiful supplies in the fridge to make breakfast – we made lunch as well from these. I wish we could have stayed to enjoy if for longer.

This property is amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed for three nights at the end of our honeymoon and was greeted with smiling faces and plenty of suggestions on what to do in the area. Everyday we had something new for breakfast everyday and they even cleaned the barbecue for us after we used it. The room was immaculate and they emptied the bins and hung up new towels everyday for us while we were out sightseeing. There is so much to do in the Tamar valley area and the views from our room was amazing.

We were a last minute booking, looking for accommodation at 3 pm. Fortunately Barbara was able to offer us a gorgeous, very comfortable and spacious ensuite room in the main homestead. Barbara and Colin were so so welcoming. They even offered to do our washing ( totally unprompted ), which we very much appreciated having just walked the overland track. The breakfast provisions were delicious and generous, as were the unexpected treats ( magnum ice creams, and Tassie chocolates) . The gardens are a delight. Definitely a Tassie highlight !!

Barb and Colin are the best hosts with nothing too much trouble. They are so eager to please their guests. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable and the treats on arrival delicious, Breakfast was generous and sourced where possible from local produce. We didn’t want to leave the beautiful view as it was so relaxing. Thanks for a great visit!
