Write a reviewNice rooms generally, but we had problems with the hot water in both our road facing room and fancier bungalow room. Didn't matter too much, except that after diving, particularly night diving, it's nice to be able to warm up.
Also, the bathroom in the roadside room smelled of bad bathroom with the fan off and kerosene with the fan on. Neither ideal!
Restaurant and pool area are nice and food is fine.

Overall, Komang Suci Matahari is a nice place to stay, nice view, next to seaside, excellent services, indeed, it worth the money we pay for it. A good good for people who wanted to stay in Tulamben for diving.
For diver, this is good place, because the US liberty wreck is just 5 minute swim from the hotel, which is pretty easy for diving, also, in front of the hotel is coral garden, with nice coral and lots of fish, groupon .. tiny shrimp ... yellow lips ...... you name it
2 things that i want to highlight, the food here is nice, all the food i order is nice, but my personal opinion, is abit pricy. 2nd point, i join the diving at the dive shop, but i think they have limited dive master? we were guide by not so experience dive guide, perhaps if you were there, please make this known to them, because if you were fresh diver, a experience dive guide is important
Other than that, this place has nice view, windy, nice sun rise, the people there are friendly and lovely, they even know which individual guest are at which room, which make us feel like at home, the room is nice decorated, food are delicious. If i wanted to go back to Bali, i will certainly go back to this resort.

When you have been here we were very busy and had divetrips outside of Tulamben. We know you are experience divers. Very good stay with Marahari! The room was comfortable and clean, staff was helpful and friendly, and dive crew was experienced and helpful! The food was good as well.
The shore dives were more tricky was it wasn't easy getting in and out of the water with the waves crashing in. But after a while you'll get the hang of it!

My wife and I stayed at Matahari Dive Resort for six wonderful days. Mrs Suci and her very efficient and friendly staff were just wonderful. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and of course the scuba diving was the highlight for me. The restaurant was not far behind. My wife enjoyed the spa treatment as well. Overall a wonderful and pleasant experience.

Originally, I was just passing through and planning just to stay one night- maybe two- but after having an exceptionally wonderful time returning to diving with Matahari's expert dive crew, very polite & hardworking hotel & office staff, great hotel atmosphere and total privacy, and the most amazingly delicious food, I just decided to stay here the whole time instead, and was so glad I did! It turned out to be the best holiday ever here, and all my friends remarked how happy and relaxed I looked when I came home, so I'm giving it a double thumbs up review. For any beginner in scuba diving, this is the place to head to, as their dive crew is very polite, professional and attentive and are highly supportive of ensuring you experience a very safe and enjoyable dive -- every time. There are great sites here teeming with marine life, and the guides were enthusiastic to share their knowledge, plus I noticed the owner overseeing the operations throughout the day. In fact, each member of staff really tried to make it an exceptional experience for their guests, me included, and I think that's a reflection of a caring management, which is evident in the high standard of service among all her staff and of the place.
As a vegetarian, I was so impressed (and grateful) by the variety of choices to eat at their restaurant, so I never bothered to find another meal outside on the street. I found the prices more than reasonable for meals, the room and the spa and the ambiance of the gardens was very zen and had its own special vibe. Yep, I'll be back!! (Maria Lisa K. in Jakarta)
