Tru appears to be a new concept for Hilton Properties. I agree with the reviewer who stated that it feels like a dorm room. Rooms are very small, but are good for a one night stay where you just need somewhere to shower and sleep. I did like the lobby area with games, a pool table, and multiple TVs. The mini refrigerator in the room was nice to have. A small microwave would have been nice, also, although there is one available in the lobby. There are not mini bathroom amenities like most Hilton hotels. The soap, shampoo, lotion, etc. are hanging on the wall and in the shower in large containers for all guests to use. There is no coffee maker available in the room. There is coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The price was high even with a discount. For a little bit more, we could have had a full size room with typical in room amenities. Now onto this particular location. They seem to be short staffed. My digital key had not arrived and I was waiting at the front desk to check in. A guest in front of us had a problem that the representative was trying to help with. It was taking quite awhile. While standing there I received a notification on my phone that my digital key had arrived. Luckily, I was able to bypass check in because no one else was available to help. Later in the evening, we requested extra pillows upon returning from dinner. After an hour, we went back down to let them know that we never received them. A different representative was at the desk. She said that she would go get them and to wait. We waited for approximately 10 minutes for her to return. We did get our pillows, but were not impressed with the customer service. I feel like this hotel is a lot less professional than typical Hilton properties. For example, this did not bother me, but gave a poor appearance...the representative at the front desk was eating her dinner. There were Chick Fil A wrappers, boxes, sauces and drinks spread across the check in counter. I’m assuming she arrived late or had a rough shift changeover because her backpack and purse were thrown on the floor in addition to the food. All in all, it was an ok stay. We would probably not choose this particular brand again. It just wasn’t for us. We are used to the typical Hilton experience.

Tru is all about easy-going engagement, giving guests space to connect with others or simply relax alone in a large comfortable lobby. Furthermore, we strive to be grounded in value, so while our rooms are small, they were designed to maximize space with spacious bathrooms, efficient storage, tons of outlets and free, fast Wi-Fi to keep guests connected at all times.

At that, it sounds as if we fell short from a customer service standpoint and I am Tru'ly sorry for that. I hope you know that your feedback is very important to us and these concerns have already been addressed with the staff.

I have traveled to the Cincinnati area many times for Red's games and have not found a hotel that I was sold on to stay in every visit, until now. This is my go-to going forward. The reception was very welcoming with a modern, fun lobby featuring 24-hr coffee and a pool table. The saltwater pool was refreshing. The room was updated and clean. And it is in a quite area for an ideal night's sleep. No doubt I will be staying here again.

Room was clean and modern with a great shower. The pool table in the lobby was a nice touch. Breakfast was good with lots of variety but it was exactly the same all four days we stayed. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Everything was very clean and modern. Location is a few minutes from the I 75. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great. They had games downstairs for the guests, didn't get a chance to try the pool but it looked nice. Overall great experience!
