We had great expectations to this holiday, but was disappointed. First of all this is not a 4+ star hotel. It is less than a 4 star. We had room in the village, which was ok. Good size, but a bit old. The hotel is massive, with a lot of sport activities, a nice beach, water slides and several pools. Good WiFi connection everywhere. In general we could always find a free sunbed around the poolside, but it's a problem that people lay towels on the sunbeds at the beach. The staff don't care about this. At times the toilets were quite dirty, espy around the pools.
The distance to walk is a bit long, depending on where you stay. The staff generally don't speak English, some speak German. In the reception they don't even speak English. Most guests are German or Russian. We were disappointed with the quality of the food. Especially the breakfast. They have nice yoghurt, but not any healthy cereal (only chocolate flakes). They have nice bread, but no white cheese or ham/meat to have on the bread. The salad bar was great, and also most turkish dishes was nice. They also serve ice cubes from tap water without informing the customers. In total this is a ok hotel, and I won't come back.
On arrival at TUI Magic Water World we were warmly greeted by TUI staff and reception staff. After explaining the lay out of the resort and how to acquire towels we were taken to our rooms by a motor cart. The cleaning staff, waiters, bar staff, reception and entertainment team were very friendly and professional in all that they did.
The complex itself is enormous and surrounded by stunning gardens that are very well kept by a team of gardeners. A wide variety of plant and bushes can be found every where you look. Hidden in them are private areas for you to use with hammocks and sun loungers. On the sun loungers point, I believe there is over 2500 sun loungers so no need to “ fight” for a spot. With any place there are prime spots that people will get up early to reserve there place but there is no need really. Dotted around are numerous pools, the main pool with the water slides which is situated in front of the private beach you can use, again with ample sun loungers. The Relax pool, one of our favourites, is extremely quite, most of the time. It can be a little shaded at times with all the trees, but still a lovely location. Has a lovely Aqua Bar. Wonder around and you’ll find more pools dotted around.
There is a Spa Centre which is free to use, unfortunately we didn’t use so cant comment on this
Entertainment was pretty good and there always seemed to be something happening through out the day for children of all ages. A wide choice of sports if you decide to be a bit more active and a good selection of water sports.
The food was outstanding and always something nice and tasty to eat from the main buffet area. There are a few extra restaurants on the complex but you do need to book in advance, if possible before you arrive. We only managed to book the Fish restaurant, which was excellent. For lunch we tried Basta Pasta, well worth a visit for lunch, fresh pasta meals that are extremely tasty.
We have only one complaint, which was our room when we first arrived. On arrival to the room ( 4104 ) there was a musty smell through the room, including the wardrobes, so much so that my wife refused to hang her cloths up in there. At this point we should have said something to reception but I didn’t. After 5 nights the smell had become to much and we mentioned this to guest services and spoke to Lisa. She immediately sent some house cleaning, engineer and herself to our room and agreed that this wasn’t acceptable. Unfortunately the hotel was at 100% capacity se we were unable to move that night, however they would look into why it was so musty that night while we were out for dinner. When we came back, the room was worse than before, the musty smell had been drowned out by the smell of sweaty socks! Again we spoke to Lisa from customer services who asked an engineer to look at the air conditioning unit. This didn’t resolve the matter that evening. The following day, true to Lisa’s word, we were shown another room that we could have for the remaining two days. This room was so much nicer in every way (Room 2111 ) It was a family room with two bedrooms and a host of little extras in the bathroom. It had a much fresher feel about it compared to our previous one that seemed a little tired. Anyway, thank you Lisa for sorting out our issue.
We would like to take the opportunity to than all at TUI Magic Water World for a fantastic holiday. It’s a shame that it won’t be a TUI destination in the future as I believe it is being taken over by another tour operator. Thanks again for a great holiday.
Was our first family trip to Turkey. Can not imagine a better choice. Everything was amazing, jad a great rest. Hotel and it’s teritory, events cover everything You need, there is no necessity to leave groundings. An extra plus that hotel is close to airport! Small minus for tidyness in rooms, but there were no time to spend there exept a nap for babies. Beach is sandy with little stones so no nerd for swimming shoes. A lot of activities to choose from. Food is great, variety is big and quantities are enormous :D Staff is friendly, children are adored here. Will come back there again!
Village area is quite (right next ro adult pool) though next time would choose other building, closer to main one and the activity pool which is more relevant with children.
Our biggest recommendations!
Water slides are the star of the hotel. Our son spent all day enjoying them. Room was nice. I recommend staying in the main building if you have kids, it’s closer to the pools and the beach. Food could be better. Especially the desserts.
Where do i start! I left England on the 30th of September to travel to beautiful Turkey. I booked this trip with the tui shop in Scunthorpe. Lovely Sasha introduced us to this place and am ever so grateful to her. She was brilliant from start to finish. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Nikita. He was a lovely young man lovely smile. He explained everything we needed to know about the hotel and our stay. He was clear and precise and very helpful. Thank god for people like this. In my second day during breakfast we encountered a lovely man named Ersin. He was a waiter there and he was so approachable so friendly with a stunning smile. He helped us in everything we needed and always went above and beyond for us. We met Tekin who was the receptionist on the front desk. Very charming man indeed. Helpful kind and caring. Mum wanted a hotel kettle she loved and Tekin went out of his way to look for something similar in the city centre. People like Tekin are the reason why you would want to come to visit this hotel. Tugay and Ilayda both were equally pleasent and very helpful. Always helped us always assisted us and nothing was ever too much for them. They made our stay comfortable and easy. The hotel was stunnig pictures dont do it justice. When we got there i was in awe. There were so much variety of food i was shocked. Freshly prepared food for all people they had everything you could imagine you needed here at this hotel i cant fault it. Take it from someone who is fussy! This hotel thought about everything! Everyday was a discovery day for me. Its huge! We had a 3 year old and it was like heaven for him. The cleaning ladies were exceptional. The view the pools the resturants better than a 5 star. If i had to give this hotel a star rating it would be 10 out of 10. You would be crazy to give it a miss. The employees make this hotel more than a 5 star in my eyes. They go above and beyond for everyone. Its clean its tidy its beautiful. Everything has been executed thoroughly. Thank you for having us and making this a dream. Love Ayesha
