excellent value
my wife and I stayed overnight, staff could not have been more friendly or helpful even allowing us to use the carpark well before checkin time,clean quiet room comfy bed and excellent rooftop ares to enjoy,I could not rate "The Sands" highly enough,we will definitely be back !
My only complaint would be the small shower area and poor showerhead

Excellent location and comfortable room
Great location, friendly, helpful staff, room was clean and comfortable. I'll definitely stay again next time I'm in Sydney. 1 bedroom apartment was very nice, bathroom was clean and modern. Shower pressure could be better, other than that -- excellent.

Hotel is in a great location near the beach. Desk staff is among the best I have encountered in all of my travels. Rooms could use some maintenance (at least the one I had). The bathroom door had paint chipping off of it and the bottom was swelling. More paint chipping around room door. Not the types of maintenance issues you expect in a “four star” facility.

Clean, good value, comfortable
Reception staff were excellent - efficient, polite and considerate. Room was comfortable although it took us 10 mins to work out how to get the air-conditioning working. Bathroom was clean, kitchenette was sufficient. TV was a bit small. Rate was the best of all the hotels/apartments/B&Bs in Coogee for the day (didn't try the pub or backpackers). Convenient position in Coogee, with spectacular views.
