My wife and I stayed at The Lodge enjoying Jeff and Julies lovely surroundings, the beautiful double room but also the relaxing loungeroom and dining room.
As our 4 days were at the end of our holiday, we could not of picked a better location and surroundings to relax and enjoy the local Hobart facilities and regional areas of interest, and not to forget a glass of complementary port at the end of the day over a quiet board game.
A group of 4 of us spent our first 2 nights of a Tasmanian holiday staying at Jeff's great lodge. The first impressions on entering the place are the ambience in keeping the old style grace and atmosphere of the property. It is a great place to stay with every detail beautifully done. The bedrooms are spotless with beautiful touches. Also the front lounge is nice to sit in with a complimentary glass of port to end the day. The dining room is full of charm and a good variety of cold foods plus toast and crumpets etc. being served. A handy location with free parking on the side street complete the picture.
Highly recommended. Great personalised service that you just don’t get at a big chain hotel. The room was quiet and very comfortable with everything I needed, and I appreciated the parlour where I could read a book and have a cuppa in style. The location is hard to beat, with a range of bars, cafes and restaurants within easy reach. Not to mention an excellent cinema just up the road.
One of our first trips away post Covid did not disappoint. A beautiful old home made for a relaxing stay on the edge of the restaurant district in Hobart. The water front is a 15 minute stroll down the street with its histrionic buildings and activities.
Our room looked out the back into the garden and was so peaceful and quiet for such a busy area. Jeff the owner was very welcoming and informative on the house and what to do in the town.
The Lodge on Elizabeth is one of the most relaxing places to stay in Hobart. The owners Jeff and Julie treated us with so much kindness. Our room was clean, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with so many choices to choose from. The front veranda was a nice pleasant place to sit early mornings or late evening to read or meditate. When it was time to leave, you could feel the sincerity of Love from Jeff and Julie. If we ever have an opportunity to visit Hobart again, we most definitely will stay at the Lodge on Elizabeth.
The visit was November 2014 not 2020.
