Gorgeous room, sensational buffet breakfast, BUT.... the place is haunted. Was woken several times during the night by a small child from an era back in the 1800s I'd say - she didn't frighten me, but I was exhausted and wanted to sleep.

This was certainly a nice room in an out of the way location. However right beside the freight rail line and opposite the Great Western Hotel. While you do hear the trains these are slow and not as bad as some places I've experienced. There are no lifts so if you need a ground floor don't forget to request. Rooms are very well appointed, decor is superb. Room decor and fittings are luxurous. NEGATIVE - rate included Gourmet Breakfast. Very disappointing. went down at 815 no seats available as only a small and cosy room in reception area. At 830 they had ran out of food. no yogurts left and no tomatoes or mushrooms. you have to be kidding. obviously cook at gone home and/or only supply 1 piece for everyone. Water had ran out in earn as well. young girl on reception gave courteous blank apology after getting off the mobile. had to turn off aircon as way too noisy. Bed was ok would have thought a better quality given star rating and room. Good ironing board and cover. Iron was weird kept changing colour. Check in was welcoming. Rooms very quiet for location. WiFi included.was good value if b'fast had been better and filling. As we work in the tourism industry we may be a little more critical than most, but we have high customer service expectations.

Couldn't believe the name of this place when I read my itinerary. Sounded very grand for Rocky. Well it lives up to it's name and more. The rooms are spectacular. High ceilings fitted out with extremely high quality antique style furnishings, 4 poster bed with all the trimmings and everything looks like its new. Even the carpets and tiles on the floor are beautiful. The staff were amazing and breakfast was included! And it's the price of a Motel? Particularly like the mint slice with my cup of tea in English Johnson brothers China! The grounds and gardens are lovely and would be a great place for a wedding. Free parking and internet that was fast and actually worked and a huge LCD TV. Best value hotel I've ever stayed in.
The area of town isn't the greatest but you wont ever want to come out of your room!

How lovely it was to fine an authentic Queensland building still in use. Fabulous large room with spa in one corner. Very comfortable bed and facilities. Yes it is by the railway line and yes there are no staff there in the evening, but this if fairly typical in Australia and many hotel and clubs do not have staff on site at night, we stayed in three. None the less, it is a beautiful old former railway office building carefully converted into a hotel and well worth a stay.We stayed on the second floor. Delicious breakfast with freshly ground coffee beautifully served. Definitely going to stay there again. Suziev

My stay at the Denison Boutique was for 3 nights. The second I walked into the room, I felt like I had stepped into a time warp. The outside structure is beautiful, but inside is stunning and creates a certain ambience of warmth and royalty. Elegant furnishings and Airconditioned. Spa baths are a great way to relax and unwind after a long day exploring the Capricorn coast. They offer a continental breakfast in the mornings. Across the street is the famous Great Western Hotel for meals, drinks & entertainment.
Only downfall is the traffic noise and being right next to the railway line (the building used to be the old railway administration building)

Dear Shonna W,
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the style of the hotel and that you appreciate the elegant heritage décor. It's fantastic to hear that you like our spa baths, we have put them in the corner of the room so that guests can unwind at the end of the day.
I'm sorry that the noise from the roads disturbed you, during your next stay please request a room towards the other end of the building to avoid any disruptions.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Warm regards, Samantha
