Write a reviewStayed in a unit with kitchen facilities. Nice and spacious with good amenities and a patio with table which was great for self catered breakfast overlooking landscaped gardens and the pool area.
The units are about 7 minutes drive from the city centre, so opting for a unit with kitchen avoids trips in and out for breakfast, although there are other resorts close by if you want a more upmarket breakfast .
Now the “but”. Parking is dreadfully inadequate with less than one park per unit. On more than one occasion we had to park in a non designated area well away from our unit and many cars were in fact parked outside the gated complex.
The oth “but” was the slow and limited “free” wifi which required logging back in constantly.

Dear Errolred Thank youf ro yoru review. So glad you enjoyed the facilities and the grounds. Our apolgies for the parking, at peak times and with a full resort it does present some challenges. The wifi also is in hot demand with a full resort, we have been on the NBN now with some of the fastest speeds possible. We stayed for a week in early December and had a very relaxing time. We had a first floor one-bed and our 5 year old slept in sofabed (not the most comfortable for an adult, but the kid didn't complain). Rooms are spacious and we had a view to the pool which was perfect. Pool (or 4 pools in one actually) is one of the most beautiful I've seen. Good amenities, no sign of wear and tear in our apartment, good aircon and fans, and fully equipped kitchen. We frequently used the free wifi at the reception. The resort area is very nice and leafy, lots of palm trees and other vegetation. To enjoy Port Douglas and the surroundings you are well advised to rent a car for the duration of your stay.

We stayed 7 nights in a 3 bedroom self contained apartment. I cannot fault the staff, grounds, facilities or apartment in any way. The apartment was spacious, clean, and contained everything we could need. There were unexpected and lovely extra touches like the welcome pack, and washing powder/dishwashing powder supplied. Staff were always helpful and friendly, the pool areas were fantastic, as were the bbq facilities (which included bbq tools, oil, washing up facilities etc). We would recommend Paradise Links to anyone looking for a relaxed, hassle free stay.

If you don’t mind the neighbours’ cigarette smoke and the groundsman’s incessant use of the leaf blower this place is for you. The pool is fun but we frequently had to flee the screeching kids whose parents were lazing in pool lounges, seemingly oblivious to their offspring’s crazed noises. However the resort staff are very friendly and the apartments are well appointed with excellent wifi. So, it’s a lovely spot if they could just fix the noise issues.

Dear James H Thanks for your review. Please accept our apologies. We try to keep the blower to an absolute minimum. Unfortunately it is a ncessary evil in keeping the placed neat and tidy. We do try and ensure all guests respect other guest's enjoyment, we are sorry that this was not the case while you were at the pool. The 2 BR villa is perfect size for us 3. From location, pool, service, cost is perfect! Highly recommended and will certainly a list on where to stay again. My 2 year old enjoyed the pool and best it's partly shaded. A short drive to port Douglas town.
