Hotel shut, no rooms available, appailing customer service.
Booked an overnight stay and needed rti be fairly close to the city centre. Set off on a 370 mile journey only to receive a phone call an hour away to tell me I had no room. Got transferred to the airport to a very poor hotel 7 miles out if the city, was told this was an upgrade!!! It cost me extra money in more petrol and transfers to the city centre. Customer services were terrible, obviously a call centre in India and did absolutely their best to fob me off, even refused to put me through to a manager. Avoid at all costs. When you call the first thing you heee is this is tha fastest growing hotel group, God help us if this is what they offer..be warned

As far as a dreadful experience goes this hotel (its not actually a hotel its a hostel at best) is top of the tree.

We arrived on a Saturday for a 2 night stay, we had booked 2 double rooms with private bathroom. On arriving we were told our rooms had flooded (both of them?) due to a leaking shower on the floor above. I found this a bit odd that both rooms would flood so asked to see the flooded rooms to see how bad they were however the young guy on reception who could not apologise enough said he was not able to show us the rooms as the owner was refusing to come back and had the key for both rooms. I suspect that he had simply over booked. We were offered a room containing 4 sets of bunk beds instead. We are 2 couples one couple in our 40's and one couple older than that and it is not what we wanted however as no one had contacted us to tell us the rooms were flooded and we were in the area for a party which was due to take place less than 2 hours in the future we found we had no choice but to accept the offer as they could not refund our money or offer us any alternative. We also check locally and there was very little else available that was not very expensive. We were told we would get a refund that has not arrived at the time of writing this review.

The rooms are clean but in very poor condition. Light fittings on the wall are hanging off, the bathroom door did not close because the shower was in the way, which was particularly unfortunate baring in mind this was a room people are meant to share. The rooms had no TV or tea and coffee making facilities as advertised. We were told we could get coffee made for us down stairs. Again this failed to materialize as the coffee as locked in a cupboard and once again Andy, the mysterious owner was awol with the keys.

After checking in to our room we couldn't wait to get out of our room so decided to head down to the bar and were only hopeful that Andy did not have the keys to that either but it was worse, far worse, the bar was open however he could not sell us drinks, firstly because there was no drinks to have and secondly because they had lost their licence to sell alcohol the week before is what we were told but it turns out they lost it months ago.

This is a doss house designed to cater for Stag and Hen parties. If you want to get hammered and have somewhere to lay your head for a few hours after leaving town then this place might be for you however one person staying at the same time as us in another group was arrested and spent the night in the police cells, when he was released the following morning and came back to meet the rest of his group he told us all that the police cells were of a much higher spec than this place and at least he got breakfast there too. My advice is avoid this place at all costs. I am now trying to get a refund off Booking.com who we booked this hell hole through. The owner Andy is basically denying everything were are saying. Apparently he check us in, the rooms were flooded because if torrential rain, even though it was a dry weekend. He said we were given double family rooms which we were not and we should be grateful that he allowed us to park our cars next to his brand new Bentley.

Has to be the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Myself and my friends arrived at this hotel and was shown a room which was flooded with water and the bathroom was filthy. Apoarched the receptionist and he showed us to a new room, outside our door was a dead bird which was a great start. Then the floor was filthy with dirt, the couched was all sticky, the sheets and towels provided with black dirt. The walls are full of holes, stains and mould!! The fridge was full of mould, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. It was freezing and the rooms were full of flies. I haven’t seen anything so disgusting in all my life. We asked to speak to the manager and there was only one member of staff in the whole “hotel” it’s 100% not a hotel it’s a hostel. This building shouldn’t be allowed to be open. I still HAVENT recieved my refund. I had to check into a travel lodge and spent my birthday trying to get a hold of the manager who is ignoring my calls. No one waste your money.

I would not recommend this hotel at all! the room itself was disgusting, bed sheets had not been changed , lip stick stains on the cups , holes in walls ect. The management have poor skills! complained to management about the room & all I got was abusive messages. A manager should never speak to a guest the way he did disgusting manners poor social skills. I would never recommend this hotel if it was the last one standing if I had a choice I wouldn't even give it a star!
