We had three days at this hotel and enjoyed our time there. Well situated good access. Room spotless. Friendly and helpful staff. Adjacent restaurent served excellent food and the service was very good. Well worth a visit.
We enjoyed our stay at Hull North P I . Breakfast and dinner were both good, the dinner especially.
Our only criticism was the bedroom was far too hot and although we had the thermostat turned right down, window open and the fan on, it made sleeping very uncomfortable.
Too hot, ruined the stay, raised the issue and the response was 'oh yes we know the rooms are hot' with no effort to adhere to their money back guarantee for a poor nights sleep. Price was good, bed itself was good, hotel was clean and staff polite but did not respond according to their own policy. It does advertise no AC, no AC is not an issue in other hotels....you don't expect to need AC during a day where the temp is 16-18 degrees. An internal temp issue unrelated to outside environment should be declared on website. The fan provided and window left open all night meant that by morning the room had gone down 1 degree from 27 to 26 degrees.
My wife and I stayed here one night as we were attending a wedding in the area. We found the staff very friendly and helpful, and a special mention to Andy who was on the late night duty for his helpfulness, friendly chat and supplying us with some extra de-caff coffee sachets.
The room was a good size, the usual very comfy bed and pillows (we really need to get some of those for home) and the bathroom was a good size with a shower above the bath tub. There is no aircon in this hotel, but they provide high speed fans in the room which do their job, and there was plenty of choice in terms of lighter bedding or softer pillows.
The free wi-fi worked very well, and there were USB ports by the bed to charge phones (first time I have seen this in a Premier Inn). Breakfast in the Beefeater (accessed through a door in the hotel reception) was very good and up to the usual high standard for the chain. There was adequate free parking and the hotel sits opposite a retail park so very convenient for shops, petrol, etc.
Very happy stay and would certainly stay here again if needing accommodation in the area.
Overall a good stay - a little issue that took a while to sort out due to so many of our team checking in. Due to the lateness, one of our team had to go to a room to knock on the door of a guest as they were in the wrong room and we needed to find out where they should be to be able to check our colleague in. If we had not done this, we would have stood at the Reception forever as they were frightened of disturbing the guest and a complaint being made against them. So what about our colleague whose room they had. Reception had made a blip and booked out an unoccupied room too causing the hotel to say they were full. Obviously not our problem but it was made to be! All ended well but were would we have been if we had not gone and knocked on the door ourselves? This guest got breakfast - we were not offered anything for the inconvenience and we had over 20 rooms booked all with breakfast.
