We had a great time in One Lang Garden Resort as a family, staying there several nights. The room was well equipped, including air condition and TV, and had a natural feel with its wooden walls. The garden area was the top bit with a clean swimming pool, which operates at night with flashing flights, and with different fruit trees, which gave a pleasant aroma. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was simple but good. The place is also very close to local shops and restaurants (1-2 minutes walk) and to the beach, which you can get to either by walking 10 minutes or 5 minutes by bike (the hotel provides you with bikes with no extra charge). We really enjoyed it.
I read the reviews mentioning the bad smell before booking this place, but I thought it was because the wood was still fresh and had a special smell (maybe some tropical wood ...). BEWARE – all the walls are wooden and totally green, FULL OF MOLD. They tried to cover the mold by puting some laminate over the walls, but as you enter the room, you immediately smell the mold, your throat and lungs start to feel scratchy. I am sure it is not healthy to stay there.
We tried to find another place, but since it was just before NY, everything was booked. We told the owners about the smell and they pretended that it was just the wood and it wasn't bad, but still offered us a room on the first floor, which was much better. Maybe 10% of the smell as in the room on the ground floor, but it was easy to get rid of it by using AC to dry the room all the time.
Otherwise the resort is really nice, the pool is good, breakfasts are tasty and I really feel sorry for the owners, because they try to make it a nice place, but you can tell they are desperate because of the situation. I think the only solution for this place is to get rid of the wood and use concrete or some other material. Although we stayed there and eventually enjoyed it on the first floor, I would NOT recommend this place.
We stayed at Ong Lang Garden Resort for one week in low-season. Long time we were the only guests. It's a nice place, not far from the beach but also close to markets and restaurants. Quite new, big bungalows with even bigger bathrooms. Very comfortable beds, TC, AC, fridge, daily new towels (for bathroom as well as for the very nice and big pool area), free drinking water; showering water heated by solar energy. Well working WIFI and cable TV. Average breakfast buffet but okay. Nice garden. Every day cleaning. So, all in all a very pleasant stay if there was not that disgusting smell. We bought air spray to refresh and burnt incense sticks, switched on the AC and let in fresh air from outside but whatever we tried, nothing helped getting rid of that smell. We could not find out where that smell came from, wether it was because they put laminate flooring on walls and ceiling (???) or due to the painting of the wooden facade. But make up your mind yourself.
My daughter and I stayed at Ong Lang Garden last Xmas 2017 and had a brilliant trip. We arrived from UK & got over our jet lag with a couple of days by the pool, used the bikes and hit the beach. The rooms & hotel are kept exceptionally clean and the staff were vv helpful and always on call and able to help with any queries, especially the lovely Mai. We headed off to see more of Vietnam & Cambodia and decided to come back on our return leg. Would highly recommend this as a stop over or for a couple of days. Breakfast was a little limited, but all fresh and good fruit & local options.
Thank you guys, we hope to return.

We booked to stay here for the TET holiday 2018. WOW.. what a beautiful little gem!
I must just write this first, the hotel staff were absolutely outstanding! With it being Chinese New Year, I simply asked a little about their traditions and the lovely reception lady (I can't remember her name, but she was just wonderful) brought us some chung cake to try !
Upon arrival, the lovely reception lady came to meet us with a big smile & welcome drink.
We were then taken to our beautiful room, the mix between a wooden cabin and hotel. This included a gigantic bed and double bed (super comfy), glass partition bathroom - exactly as shown in the pictures.
They also have robes, towels, mini bar and complimentary water.
The pool area was perfect, enough beds and fresh pool towels for everyone. The pool itself was clean and huge!
You could borrow the cycle bikes for free to get to the beach. Only 10 minutes down the road (A little bit of a bumpy and rustic ride but it was fun)
The beach bar had free wifi, sun beds and plenty of space - great to watch the sunset.
The breakfast was buffet style with a mixture of Vietnamese and western food, from yummy phó to pancakes. It was delicious & I was very impressed.
Overall, fantastic place... can't WAIT to come back!!
