A group of 10 of us stayed for a long weekend. The Chateau is excellent and well beyond any normal B&B expectation. Acres of space, a wonderful garden and pool and with very grand oversized rooms. Chalabre is a pretty small town with fine rolling countryside all around and interesting places to visit in striking distance. We had a very comfortable time hosted by Angus and Barbara who arranged dinners and taxis, provided delicious meals and were very efficient.
When four of our party had their flights cancelled and were delayed for a day Angus immediately provided rooms for another night. A level of hospitality which was completely beyond necessary and extremely kind. We were very fortunate to be in such a great place with brilliant hosts.
My stay at Chateau Terre Blanche was exceptional. The rooms were comfortable and fitting for a fun family visit. The pool was good and big enough for a large amount of people. The deck chairs were the only negative about the place. I didn't feel that the quantity nor quality was up to the standard of the rest of the house. After all if the house is fitting for eight people I feel that it should supply loungers for all. The house manager Angus is a cheerful and great guy and he is one the reasons the house is so successful. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms have plenty of space and the showers/baths are lovely. The lounges are special and there is lots to entertain. I have truly enjoyed my time at the Chateau.
We stayed here in July 2017. It was a great experience to stay in this grand building. The common rooms are grand, as you would expect. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully presented. The gardens are nice to walk in and give you lots of privacy plus the swimming pool to cool off on a summers day. The forecourt is a great place for outside breakfasts and evening meals, or just to enjoy sundowners. Chalabre is in the heart of rural Languedoc, this region has lots of vineyards, great restauarants and outdoor activities, including bike rides to nearby villages, interesting historic castles, ancient caves and only one hour from the Pyrenees. You will wish you were staying for longer....
