I stayed a night with my son (16-years-old) in a renovated room for 2-5 persons (two beds and futon are available). The room is spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The dinner and breakfast were very good. The hotel personnel were helpful.
We were picked up from the Shinkansen station, O-ishida (takes 30min). The hotel is located in the centre of the town. You can take a short walk in the tiny town and also to the silver mine area (unexpectedly cool) along the river.
For Onsen, I recommend to go to the sister hotel (free for the Kosekiya guests, 5 min-walk). The baths in Ginzan-so is new, much bigger and has open air bathtubs with a great view of the valley. The water temperature there is 39 degrees (Koseki-ya is really hot).
I recommend this hotel to everyone.
The place is good with the history and story of the ryokan. The room is great and experience old dated. The service is fair like most of the hotel in business area. Old and outdated bathing also give another experience but I am not prefer. This is not the first time I stay in ryokan so from my evaluation, the overall experience is fair.
I stay in this ryokan for one night. The view from the room was amazing. I love it a lot and it was very relaxing. Even they don't have outdoor onsen (hot spring), but you still have an indoor hot spring. The food was great and the host was very nice. Definitely, I will visit there again.
