I have no idea where this place got three stars from. Maybe they bought it on the black market.

We arrived for three nights, together with a 6-month-old baby and a 4-year-old. The proximity to the lakeside, playground and child-friendly amenities all appealed - on the website. First of all, when we arrived, it turned out that, despite their confirmation in email, they did not modify our reservation as asked and were not expecting us. Then, despite the fact that their website says that every room has a balcony or garden access, they gave us a room with neither. It was a sad, depressing room on the ground floor, overlooking parked cars. Since the balcony was the reason we chose the hotel in the first place (after putting the two kids to sleep, we were not planning on sitting in the dark room, so having a balcony was essential), we demanded that they change our room. They were not too moved by our complaint, but eventually gave a voucher for a dinner in exchange. Then, the reading light was not working. The bathroom flooded. The towels were extremely stinky, all of them. But that would have all been ok, if the baby travelbed they put up in our room wasn't broken. This was the cherry on the cake. We found this out when we wanted to put the baby to sleep in the evening. We would not risk the bed collapsing on our baby of course. They had no other. We insisted that they give our money back (it suddenly all made sense, why they make you pay in advance) and started to look for alternative accommodation. We talked to a manager, who was nice, but said that he could not do anything without the approval of the boss.

The receptionist called the boss, who told him off, asking why he is bothering him in the evening and slammed the phone down. Eventually, the manager organized a bigger room with a balcony for us (surprise, surprise, they miraculously had one after all), and promised to solve the babybed issue the next day. Without a babybed for the first night, I hardly slept with the baby sleeping in between us, since the double bed is really two singles next to each other and the baby kept waking up whenever he rolled in the hole. The best part: they asked for the dinner voucher back, since we got the room with the balcony after all!!!!!! How petty is that!

We decided to enjoy ourselves in the remaining time and did not want to waste more hours of our time complaining. The bed was fixed and we said nothing when we almost fainted from the strong smell of urine that was coming from the baby bed. I assume that the baby using it prior to us had an accident and the hotel never bothered to clean it. We did not complain that the breakfast was of such a poor quality (no butter, undrinkable "juices", unidentifiable meat products,), or that the towels kept stinking, and the bedsheets were smaller than the bed. We just spent as much time away from the place as possible and were happy to finally leave.

The sad thing is that with really minimal effort, this could be such a wonderful hotel.

We took a family apartment, which consists two bedrooms with one bath. The room itself was clean and renovated. The breakfast buffett has wide choice of foods. Inspite written and confirmed booking, the receptionist had no information about our arrival, but they managed to give us the choosen room. Cons: you have to pay in advance. Inspite of renewing you still feel yourself in the '80s. Additional beds are terrible!

I was transferred to this hotel from their sister property, the Piknik Panzio in Siofok, where I had booked an apartment but found out on arrival that there was a problem (no-one had contacted us despite having my email address). The staff in the panzio made the hotel sound so lovely that I thought we were in for a nice weekend by the lake. Far from it! The hotel is appalling; ugly, untidy, very dated and directly next to a railway line.
I was very upset to find myself having to stay here with my young baby but had little alternative. We too had to pay up front and we were also overcharged. The room was not cleaned at all, the sheets were worn and there were dead insects all over the floor.
A very unhappy stay and one I shall certainly not be repeating!!!!

The man at the reception ask to pay immediately when you arrive, if (like us) you don't have euros they will charge you in local currency but at rates you can't imagine (25-50 % more expensive than official rates).
The breakfest is poor, room-cleaning as well.
WI-FI connection doesn't work in the rooms.
So it's better to look for a another hotel in the city.

My stay with Hotel Kiss Family was terrible.
1. The telephone number provided was to a different branch of this hotel, because of this, wrong directions to the hotel were given to the taxi driver costing us 20k in excess when returning from the festival.
2. The hotel requested payment in advance BUT did not have credit card facility. We had no choice but to pay in cash and in forrint instead of euro, which we were quoted, at an exhorbident exchange rate.
3. The room was infested with cockroaches which crawled into out bags and personal items.
4. The trash was not cleared and the bed sheets unchanged.
5. The swiming pool, sauna, 24 hour reception, tour desk, ticket service, free wireless internet etc. advertised did not exsist.
6. When checking in we were charged an addition 10k forrint for our 3rd guess BUT on the last day of our stay we were rudely awakened with shouing and banging of our door.
We told to leave immediately and an additional 16k forrint was demanded from us in cash because of our 3rd in spite of our insistence that we had already paid an additional 10k.
7. This hotel has NO AIRCON and it is NOT a 3 star hotel.
8. No one speaks English.
