Points of Interest

1. Parking lot- Can start here

This is where I choose to start because there is no more up-hills once you finish. Can get a good look at the map too before you start.

2. Thurmond-Mindon Trail head

You will make a right here or start here really don't matter. This is the Thurmond-Mindon trail head.

3. Bridges

This is the first of several bridges that make this trail so beautiful. The pictures of some of the bridges on this trail are listed here. Be careful though if the bridges are wet because they are SLICK!!!!!!

4. Train Station Overlook

5. BIG rock

6. Pavement

This is where the trail has ended, you can go back, or you can continue on a loop which is what I suggest to get the most fun

7. Turn

Turn right by the ACE sign

8. Turn again

Here you will turn down to the Arbuckle connector right below Ace adventure

9. Just some Pictures

Ok, you can stick right of the first picture, then uphill left on the second up Eskin. This travels around the Ridge There was a rock slide but you can get around it which you can see from the picture.

10. View

Here is a very beautiful view of the WV mountain ridge line as well as new river. Be careful though because the trail gets narrow here and is steep.

11. Right Turn

Here you will exit the Eskin trail and go down a bus road to connect back up to where you started.

12. Intersection.

You must stay straight then take a right to connect up, don't go further down hill at this point. If you go left you will end up in Cunard which is where the Rafters put in for the lower New River.

13. Last Bridge

This is the last bridge you will come across during your final stretch of trail to the parking lot. Saver the flavor :)

14. Thurmond Train Station

This is the Thurmond Train Station. No longer in service but adds some history to the area. Stop in and have a look-see!
