Points of Interest

1. Heart Lake at Adirondack Loj Trailhead

From the parking lot head towards the parking lot entrance and then into the campground area to head north around Heart Lake. You should see plenty of signs. Look for the one pointing you towards Mt. Jo.

2. Heart Lake Shoreline

From the shore you'll have great views over Heart Lake towards the MacIntyre Range. From here head into the woods and follow the trail to the right which will climb steeply towards the top of Mt. Jo.

3. Mt. Jo Summit

You are at the summit of Mt. Jo at 2,876 feet. You will have wonderful views from the rocks at the summit over all the High Peaks to the south. Relax and take lots of photos! From the summit, instead of heading back down the way you came up, take the loop trail back for a more gradual descent. Follow the signs.
